Don't get this reference with the Triangle?

For whoever mentioned the Jury's, whats the best way to go about booking them? Phone the hotel direct or through a website? Just don't want to be stuck with a bill if fellas don't turn up etc.

Does anyone have any info on Cavan as a destination for a stag? One of the crew was on one there before & thought it was pretty good.....but thought I'd get some other views here! The groom is from Carrick on Shannon & wer not planning on travelling to far for this one as we've been abroad for a few in the past 12-18months. We've also done Galway numerous times along with Westport, Sligo etc so it looks like Cavan.

Where's good to go out, eat, stay etc. Any spots with pool tables/sports bar & near a bookies to pass the saturday afternoon!

Cheers!

Heading to Killarney for a stag in a couple of weeks. Where is the best place to get euro's now. I see the bank now charges a transaction fee every time you use a cash machine in the south.

Didn't they always do that? They charged a conversion rate anyhow.

Yes they always charged a conversion rate but they have now started to charge a transaction fee. The C.U.N.T.S

Fuppin' backstards.

Do all banks charge now? Do they tell you they will be charging you this fee?

I'm with nationwide who've only started doing this recently. They charge a quid per withdrawal plus a percentage. It's a very small percentage but a percentage none the less.  For years I got away with no fees on it but last year they introduced this.

Cavan wouldn't be that great a spot in my opinion. Used to go out pretty often in Cavan. Used to hit (I Think) McMahons bar first. Really nice bar but it's completely empty until 11pm at the earliest. Then usually fills up pretty quick. The imperial bar/nightclub used to be good as well. But pretty young (Or maybe I'm pretty old  :-\ )
You don't see that many Hen parties or stags out in Cavan. So it wouldn't be one of the spots I'd recommend. Would you try Carlingford or somewhere along that direction? Had a couple of stags there and it's great. Hen party central as well.

Have a stag do in Galway next March. Any recommended drinking spots, things to do, handy hotels?
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

After you have given thejuice tips on boozers in Galway youse can give me a short list for Westport.

Heading down on Friday afternoon so need tips for Friday evening, daytime pints and early evening pints on the Saturday. Likely to end up in the club in the hotel (Castlecourt).

Daytime pints - Morans on Bridge Street or the spinning wheel between the castlecourt and town on the left hand side. Will be showing horse racing during the day too

Good pub up past the octagon towards the Quay for a few early afternoon pints, McHales I think??

Heneghans for games on a big screen

Matt Molloys good for live music but may be packed with tourists

Cosy Joes is decent for late pints

The greenway or the reek for some non-boozing activities

Cheers Mac, very useful. I think non-boozing activities are on the banned list  :-[

Looking forward to some daytime supping - been a long time!

Anyone been to Spain on a stag? Barca or Madrid. Any good?

BenDover

Been to both Malaga and Benidorm middle of spring, both resorts lively. Great to get away for a few days all inclusive boozing!
