Here is one of the key note speakers at the world meeting of families, the event that coincides with the popes visit...

https://www.irishtimes.com/news/social-affairs/religion-and-beliefs/pennsylvania-s-predatory-priests-the-cardinal-wuerl-connection-1.3599790

Does it sound to any of you like much has changed, to be lectured on the family by this sc**bag.

Any one going to the see the pope wants a kick in the hole and should take a serious look at themselves based on latest revelations and stop looking to be offended by DUP Neanderthals
As an a la carte once or twice a year catholic, seeing the pope has no real appeal to me. but many catholics feel differently. I will credit this pope with trying to force the church to face up to the scandals and trying to do the right thing, very often in the face of opposition from more conservative elements. The DUP and UUP leaders have shown their true colours in not meeting the Pope, and it is not surprising if disappointing. For me the Pope must meet the survivors of abuse and I know he has issued apologies before, but now is the time for action in driving further reform, opening up the church to all including a greater role for women, and a harder line on scandal hit prelates.

Educate yourself lad to whom is in this popes inner circle and who covered up abuse and then realise the only thing any pope is really interested in is the retention of the power of the church

Mickey Graham confirmed for Cavan with Dermott McCabe in his backroom and vinny corrys brother as S&C coach.  Best of luck to them

Hard to pick a loss for Cavan, there have been so many!

Two that really hurt at the time were both at U21. 1st losing to Cork after a goal keeper clanger and a great comeback. Last kick of the game into the wind, free taker had been subbed off, subbed him back on to take a very hard free to force extra time and it went wide.

The worst one though was the semi final against Dublin. Lost by a point to possibly the strongest U21 team ever put together with 6/7 of them on the current Dublin panel. Totally fucked by a bollox of a ref from Tipp (who since then has got more and more games), lost by a point. That dublin team went on to destroy a decent Ros team in the final by 20+ points. That was Cavans chance of an All Ireland gone up in smoke.

With the seniors one of the most embarrassing was needing a draw at home to Waterford to get promoted from Div 3 and some how managing to lose such an important game out of sheer arrogance.

Armagh / Re: Armagh Club football & hurling

So lads, Aidan O Rourke is a front runner for the cavan job with Poacher his number 2. What do Armagh guys think of his coaching or management skills. Did he do anything in Armagh? I know his stint in Lough didn't go well.

Fab IPTV gone.

Like o told you, too big

Maybe, maybe not if they were in immediate bother they wouldn't be able to honour existing subs?

Nope I'd say the law is onto them. Subs are sitting on a server elsewhere. Same happened to another one of the big guys last year.

Not sure what O'Rourke has done to be considered. Or maybe that's where Cavan are at. He was a disaster with Louth a few years ago. Poacher very defensive.

If Cavan are looking outside the county. They should look outside Ulster

I do t know but is it fair to judge anyone on Louth. They are a basket case

Looking like Aidan O Rourke and Poacher for Cavan job. Also will have a world class S and C coach in Mike McGurn and one ex Cavan player involved too.

Sounds interesting. Any idea who the cavan player is?

Anyone know what happened with Damien Donohoe and the Bailieboro players? Odd of him to mention it on twitter, not like him at all.

Great result from the U16s. If they can win it out with all the extra teams there now it will be a good result. Next year is their year at Minor so fingers crossed they'll be able to bring that form to Ulster same as last year's minor team yet.

Not sure about Damien but it may be related to some stupid stuff their PRO was at, had a go at the celt when they won citing some article giving them little chance of the win. It was then pointed out to him that the article was from Gaelic Life ::)
I believe Damien did their Lip Sync for them too so its pretty crappy carry on if they had verbals with him after the game, maybe he is due an apology.

Lots of interesting results at the weekend. Bailieboro beating Mullahoran, Gaels bet by Killygarry etc
Maybe senior will not be the simple Gaels win many predicted.
Also the U16s with a thrashing of Dublin in the Gerry Reilly Cup is nice to see. I suppose the Dubs players will go fully professional after their leaving certs and catch up!

So many servers are being openly advertised and are so easy for sky to track and disrupt. People will need to find smaller "word of mouth" set ups.

That was like watching a Leinster Championship game today, which is the worst possible indictment I can think of.

My feelings exactly. That coupled with the non-event against Tyrone last year and the AI championship is morphing into the Leinster championship as Dublin's shadow looms large over the game.

In fairness though it's notvthat the dubs are better this year than last. It's that the chasing pack this year are gone backwards with the demise of Mayo. Dublin weren't even near their best today.
