As I said elsewhere, Abbeyleix gave up and football a few years ago, and now hurling. I am extremely disappointed in both clubs, but especially them.

The most interesting thing will be whether it gets through both of their agms. 75% majority needed on both sides. Will be absolute madness if that goes through.

Fallaini has just been a big clumsy obstruction for Utd when in possession all night long.

Good to see a decent laois crowd there. Lads from Joseph's Clonaslee and Annanough as well as few others  scattered around. Left it behind them with wayward shooting in 1st half. Kilmacud probably go on and beat the Longford crowd. They were far more composed on the ball than Portlaoise and got their scores handier. That full back Andrew McGowan for Kilmacud very decent player came out with a fair amount of ball. He'll  be very decent for Dublin seniors in not too distant future.

I hear that Slieve Bloom pulled their lads from the u21 with Castletown this morning, once again the issues of jerseys appears to of been behind it. Lessons from the past dont appear to be learned

See Ben Conroy put up something on it this afternoon on Twitter about that.

Senior is seemingly a done deal

Motion before both agms
Would it be cheeky to suggest there's now no GAA club in Abbeyleix? Football is Ballyroan Abbey and hurling will named something else!

Will be interesting to see the breakdown of teams for the 2 clubs if it happens. Wonder would the Harps be promoted to Senior if this happens and the combination of Ballinakill/Abbeyleix go Senior B. Whether it will be passed at AGMs will also be interesting.

Looks like most of the Gaels teams are history. Going by the review that was emailed out to the club's yesterday anyway.
Crettyard, Ballyfin in senior football should be ok but all the senior b and inter mediate ones may not be allowed if the proposals go through.

What's the story with the likes of Castletown in hurling since slieve bloom promoted to senior B? Whether that will be permitted on grounds that's it's a natural joining as together at juvenile.

What buzz words?!  ;D
No chip, but its comments like that from people who've never been to a workshop or course that puts other people off!
And i agreed with you, be great to have the equivalent of a GDA in every club like Dublin have! But thats not realistic here.

Every club in Dublin funds half the GDA wages.

Could 2/3 clubs here band together and do similar,it's being done in other counties

Would be great to see happen. Great also to see Zoom going back to these parish leagues. If a club had a lad like him in every club we'd be in a good place!

Also regarding coaching some of the sessions/seminars done with Laois GAA over year some were recorded on video yet no access to video afterwards. Anyone know of possible for access. Some good seminars over year that would be handy to have.  Cathal Barrett done one on fitness with the ball, Donal O'Grady done one on forward play I think and Martin Fogarty done 1 or 2 that I've attended. These I'm nearly certain we're recoreded in Heywood by Laois GAA or someone like Brophy videography in Portlaoise. That's  just the hurling.

I wouldn't even contemplate Healy on Mannion. It just has to be Dillon in my opinion. Cahir is killing himself with football, hurling, work and travelling. I don't think he'd want it any other way and to be honest, he's an absolute credit to himself and his club. Just saw the odds there and Portlaoise are 3/1 to win the match against Kilmacud. It just goes to show the size of the task, but I think those odds are a little bit exaggerated. I'd give them a better chance than that.

Thought Frank Flanagan played fierce well as well as Chris Finn mopping up ball in full back line. Ciaran McEvoy probably his best game in a Portlaoise Jersey. Like few lads think Dillon is the man for Paul Mannion. I'd imagine there'll be a great crowd again go to Parnell Park. I imagine whoever wins this will win Leinster. Anyone can tell when was the last time a Laois team beat a Dublin club in Leinster?

See on the Kildare forum one not happy with the ref and that Moorefield were rode. 2nd best all day long. F**k them you couldn't beat a Kildare team by enough!

It was a real team performance and a deserved win. It's no mean feat beating Moorefield in their own back yard and I thought Portlaoise coped with all challenges put in front of them. I thought the young Finn lad was man of the match by a mile, as he had Hurley Lynch in his pocket. Cahir struggled with O Connor and it's going to be tough for him going week after week. O Connor instigated that mini row after their goal and sneakily took a dive when challenged by Healy. Classy players like him don't need to resort to that sort of stuff and I'm delighted he's licking his wounds tonight.

Work rate and togetherness were a big factor in today's performance. Of course Kilmacud in Parnell Parkwon't be easy, but Portlaoise need to take encouragement from today and build on it. Was Saunders dropped or is he injured?

Saunders was injured I heard. Benny Carroll injured too.

City ahead at half time and good value for it. United have too many slow and static players in their team and the small skillful City players are running rings around them.

Will probably need a set piece to get back into it. I'd imagine Mata or Sanchez will be brought on at some stage. Big 2nd half coming!

Good win for Portlaoise today. Much the better side overall  but missed good few chances up front. Tough conditions stepped up when needed. Another day out in 2 weeks in Parnell Park vs Kilmacud Crokes.

Bye bue camross ...i dont think anyone cares
Disappointed to see them lose yesterday, would have liked to see them get a run out against Ballyhale.

Camross got decent start but Naomh Eanna absolutely blitzed them. Could have had another 2-3 goals Goalie save on Dean Delaney before HT would have brought it closer but camross had too much to do 2nd half. No 8 at midlfield carried a fair amount of ball and did good bit of damage. Very wrists hurlers spread ball around fairly well. Will give Ballyhale a decent game I'd say.
How did the tooth fairy play?

Didn't get a run. On the bench.

Strange seen as he was the hero in the county final.

I'd imagine Camross happy enough to be the big fish in the small pond.

Dwane Palmer in from the start. Gearoid Burke came in with about 10 mins left they were chasing too much in 2nd half. Some aimless ball put into the forward line from Camross. Lost most of the 50/50 balls which was big impact on them.
Zane was decent overall with places balls (took goal well from free). Naomh Eanna were more efficient with the ball and always had men in space and step it up when needed. Conor McDonald some man to field ball and gave Malvin Moloney a tough time.  Was impressed with them how comfortable they were and were missing Cathal Dunbarr (who would be one of the better forwards and with Wexford seniors) and 2 in the back line. Wouldn't be surprised if they beat Ballyhale to be honest.

Speedy recovery to Ben too. Massive loss to Slieve Bloom.
