Pure intrigue here brought about by a discussion this morning. Any idea what club it would be? This person believed it was Naomh Columba in Glencolumbkille in Donegal.

Brolly on about belmullet in mayo today being wile far out.

My mate plays for glencolumcille. Use to have to play Malin in league games. Took 2 1/2 hours to get therep

It's isolated obviously but 30-40 mins from relatively functioning towns in Killybegs & Ardara, who aren't far from big towns themselves. You'd spend that in the boat getting out to the club on the Aran Islands. Valentia island obviously. Achill island would be isolated enough too. Letterfrack maybe on the mainland

What about inisturk?  Great job to build a pitch out there
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not too sure.

Valentia wouldn't be that isolated in that there's a bridge over to the club in Portmagee, and a lot of the year there's a ferry over to Renard, so you're not really that far away from any of the clubs in South Kerry.

Kilcar is closer again to Glen than Ardara and Killybegs.

I think a definition of "isolated" is needed here.

Kilcommon in Glenamoy must be 'isolated'. It's far enough from any half decent civilisation anyway.

Furthest away from their nearest club.

Would any club on Inishowen be fairly isolated

Fanad would be fairly isolated too. Probably less so now with new bridge nearby to carrigart

While clubs like these are in the middle of nowhere, they're not far from other clubs in the middle of nowhere. Eg Achill would be relatively near Ballycroy, which would be near Kiltane, which would be near Belmullet.  If you were to look at West Mayo as a division, the furthest reaches of the Tourmakeady club would be almost 2 hours from the furthest reaches of Achill
