BBC's Ulster Championship coverage:
___________________________________________________
BBC Sport Northern Ireland's coverage of this year's Ulster Senior Football Championship will enable fans to watch four live games.

Fermanagh's game against Armagh on Saturday, 19 May and the Down v Antrim game on 26 May will both be shown live on the BBC iPlayer.

The first semi-final on 3 June and the Ulster final three weeks later will be live on BBC Two Northern Ireland.

There will be full deferred coverage of the four other ties.

The deferred games will start with the Ulster preliminary round tie between Donegal and Cavan on 13 May with Tyrone v Monaghan on 20 May, Donegal/Cavan v Derry on 27 May and the second semi-final on 10 June also shown in full shortly after the final whistle.

There will be live commentary of all games in the Ulster Championship on bbc.co.uk/sportni which will be available on a range of platforms and devices including smart phone and tablet devices - including on BBC Radio Ulster/Foyle MW, DAB and online.

So, will BBC receive any credit from the usual whining politicos and supporters for out doing RTÉ when it comes to GAA championship games in 2018?

Great to see digital technology with use of iPlayer being introduced to avoid problems with scheduling.

Other provinces will suffer without a local TV station to cover games.

GAA are a disgrace allowing RTÉ to give such scant coverage to games prior to provincial finals and Super 8s. Counties will be affected in longer term by sponsors/pitchside advertisers reducing their summer spending with reduced TV coverage.

Your argument makes too much sense for consideration! I would also add that this lack if sponsorship can lower standards in weaker counties and discourage players from playing.

Cold not the problem in Omagh, it’s the rain and the lack of proper drainage.

A f**king disgrace of an Irish tv station. Saying that there's a chance I may get to that game in person.

Surely they'll put some of these game on the rte player therefore not breaking the rules on additional games?  I'm sure the GAA will be pressurising them to do so as it will allow them to put them on GaaGo and generate more revenue.

Tyrone v Monaghan and Cavan v Donegal were two games i was looking forward to watching live on TV but it seems they aren't going to be covered at all?

You were looking forward to Ulster football?

Bar Connaght now as in recent times Galway have emerged their are 3 teams now who can challenge, then yes Ulster football is the only province worth watchng for competitve football..

yea Tyrone had just a 9 point average winning margin. very competitive. Ulster is as shit as Leinster/Munster.
