Offaly minors getting toasted tonight, awful pity, looks like the occasion got to them and they did a Brazil on it.

Leinster Minor FC Semi Final Offaly 0-3 Dublin 3-7 (HT)

If it wasn't for your clubs playing U16 games the night before you played Offaly in the Manning Cup you'd have walked the Manning Cup and Offaly wouldn't have been in a position to win it. They flattered to deceive at under-age last year and this result is only proof of that. The two best teams in Leinster by quite a significant margin are in the final.

Offaly are in need of serious investment by the GAA. Laois hurling was turned around inside 5 years and the same can happen here.

Men against boys. Offaly were never as good as people thought they were - we knew that beforehand. But they need help and the GAA needs to get in there and start organising things for them.

Wide open final. Kildare are very good.

Offaly reached the Leinster minor league final and lost by a small margin to Longford this year. Longford brought Kildare to extra time so what happened to Offaly tonight is strange to say the least.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Leitrim, CML champions, turfed out of Connacht by a team that only won one of five league games in relatively convincing fashion. Teams are usually searching for their panel in the league, like Leitrim's seniors in the FBD minor teams like Leitrim and Offaly with a very tight pick will be at an advantage because they'll be more settled. Leagues lie, basically.

Very disheartened by this. Feel sorry for Pascal and the lads, as they've had good results against the likes of Kildare and Meath over recent years in various grades. I just hope this blowout doesn't destroy the good work that *has* been done with these lads.

I expect this game between these to revert back to type at this level and be very tight with only a couple of scores in it at the end. Longford is the form line and both had tight away wins in Pearse Park, Kildare needing extra time. Kildare have a very tight defence well marshalled by Mescal and as a unit they have very much a 'thou shalt not pass' attitude. Dublin on reports are good in the air so ball retention from kick-outs from a Kildare perspective will be important. If we get enough possession we have the forwards who can amass enough scores to win it. While it would be great to win a 2 in a row at this level, just playing the Leinster final and the subsequent All-Ireland quarter-final is very important for these young players in terms of their development.

It's hard not to feel that Kildare have a better chance here than the odds suggest. Very tempting bet.

It's a strange one, Dublin were poor last year and Kildare won the u16 championship when these two teams met (albeit a 0-5 to 0-4 thriller in a wet Hawkfield) in 2012.  Minor is a grade though I wouldn't put too much money on though. If you could get Kildare +2/3 that could be the bet.

The goals killed us. The young lads didnt throw in the towel but they were just outclassed. Important we give Kerry a good go now.

It was the manner of how we conceded the second and third goals. Completed deflated the players but they kept trying as you said which is a good sign. Dublin though I thought were very clinical and very committed, won nearly all of the 50/50s and even some of the 40/60s. O'Callaghan and Mullins the full-back were excellent for Dublin, Kildare just didn't have that type of situational leadership on the pitch. Need to be very physical with Kerry in the quarters.

Certainly wouldn't give up on them. That was good from our lads today- we're going to get another 2-3 seniors off this team as well.

O Callaghan may well be better then Costello was at the same age. Sobering thought for other counties
