f**k it. I'm looking a drop everywhere from now on.

McIlroy was totally chancing his arm there. Fair play to the official for standing up to him

I think DJ's was very dubious as well. McIlroy no way!

DJ probably could've chipped out with a narrower stance to avoid the path but I think he just caught a lucky break.

Some performance from Johnson
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Yeah he's really kicked on McIlroyhas played fairly well since the debacle at 6 he's 5 under since then... only a matter of time if he keeps up this sort of form out driving Johnson by 20 yards at times!

Wondering how many shots Rory had on Shane ::)
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Attitude now he reckons has fixed our Rory. Lowry will win a major before he wins another one, if he ever does. He is lacking heart because he has no allegiance to anything meaningful and doesn't have any inbuilt belief.

"Some of the times, it will go wrong, and so you have to be that character to, you know, you're going to take a shot on, it won't work out, but you can't second guess yourself afterwards.

"You have to have that mentality that you have to believe that your strategy is it, that you are the man, that 100% it's all about your strategy. You've got to believe in yourself." P.H

Seriously have a look at what you're writing here. Rory is in control of his own destiny. If he clicks, there's maybe 2-3 players in the world can keep with him, and they've got to play perfectly. Whereas Lowry, even if he had a perfect tournament, will need the world's top 20 to all have weak tournaments, in order for him to win.

This is why Rory, despite being a couple of years younger, has won multiple majors, while Shane has won tournaments at a much lower level.
Much as I prefer Lowry to McIlroy, Shane is not in the same league. Both might win a major in the next few years but if they do they will need a slice of good fortune.

JPGJOHNNYG

Shane Lowry had his big chance in 2016 leading by 4 or 5 going into the last round of the US open and then imploded, cant imagine he will get too many other chances at a major

He'll always have a chance anytime he tees up in the Open.

Jesus I like Shane and all, but Ben Lowry has as much chance of winning major ffs.

He has won a WGC against the best in the world - he lead the us open (arguably the hardest major) by 4 shots after 54 holes and managed to get a joint runner up after a disastrous final round (that included the rules mess up with DJ that probably affected Shane's play as well).  To say he has no hope of ever winning a major is extremely harsh.  He will be teeing it up in all 4 majors this year - admittedly it would be a big shock if he won one but any of the top 50 or so players in the world if they put it together for 4 days in the correct week - get some lucky breaks and you never know what could happen
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience

Insane Bolt

Ian Baker-Finch, Ben Curtis, Todd Hamilton, Paul Lawrie, Stewart Cink ( beat Tom Watson in play off)
all proved that everyone has a chance.

Little more fuel for all the Rory Haters...

Signing autographs after his round yesterday and a young golf fan decked in head to toe gear to look like Rory was crying. Rory asked what was wrong and the adult minder said he was crying because Rory hadn't won. He told him that it was ok - it was still a really good week to come second. Took the kid and his buddy (dressed like Rickie Fowler :-)) inside the ropes, to the locker room - and signed a pair of shoes and some gloves for them.

He's doing it right.
