General discussion / Prayers Badly Needed**
December 03, 2009, 01:54:23 PM
Hi everyone, some of you might remember that last year I put up a threadtitled 'Prayers badly needed' abouta friend of mine who had given birth very early (about 23 weeksi think) and I had askedeveryone topray formother and child, but after 2/3 weeks baby Miceal passed away.

What had been even more heartbreaking at the time was that they had awful bother conceiving and had been told that it was near impossible so to have conceived then lost baby Miceal seemed like the end of their world.

At the time I was really taken by the unbelievable messages of support and promises of prayers by so many people on here and this brings me to the point of this trip down memory lane-

My friend gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Monday, weighting just under 9 lbs.  Mother and child are doing great and My friend and her husband couldnt be happier. :) :) :D ;D

I have been waiting to share the good news wid you guys (and Girls) for months but didnt want to jinx it.

However I would ask yous all to say a prayer for anyone who is ever in a similar position to what she was last year, and ask God to send them hope.

Slan.

General discussion / Sky Box?
June 23, 2009, 03:14:30 PM
Does anyone know where you could get a sky box chipped for all channells? PM me

PS. this is a totally hypothetical question for research i am doing into entertainment costs and their impact on personal finance in the reccession. I would never in anyway suggest using a chipped sky box as this would be illegal and could have a negative impact on a small multi billion pound company like sky.  ;D ;D

This is a very serious thread and I would appreciate your co-operation.

A friend of mine and her husband had been trying for a child for over 3 years and happily announced a while back that they had successfully conceived  but that this time was basically their last chance.

She is now in hospital after having a baby boy yesterday. The little fella isnt very well however as he was born at 22 weeks and was under 2 Lbs.

The next 24-48 hours are critical to his survival and his mother has asked everyone to pray for him.

What Im asking is that everyone take a stop and take a moment to say a prayer for mother and childs survival.

The childs name is Miceal (pronounced Me - Hall) and he is in Craigavon area hospital in the spealist baby ward.

Please could everyone take a moment and offer a prayer for this childs life.

Thanks.

Just wondering like many of you why the incident at the SETANTA cup final where a Glentoran fan thug threw a bootle and hit a Cork player in the face wasnt even mentioned or shown on BBC or UTV, the Cliftonville fan thug hitting a Linfield player with a firework was briefly mentioned and shown on BBC but I havent seen it on UTV yet.

However when there is trouble at a GAA match we can expect to see it on every single news report for days and it is the only time the GAA is the leading story on the sports section of either channel even though it has a larger membership than rugby soccer and hockey combined and its games are easily attended by more people than all these 3 combined within N. Ireland on any given weekend.

Has been alot of discussion recently about the N.I. Assembly and the job they have been doing in the Areas outside Belfast and its surrounding suburban friends.

This is a little poll to see if the accusations, including little or no investment in both public and private sector and even infrastructure plus the implementation of PPS14 and the now comical processing of its review by people it doesnt effect in any way and about them not caring about Areas outside Belfast and particuarly Areas west off the Bann to see if they have any basis.
