Two surprise results tonight.

Galway 2-16 Sligo 2-12
Leitrim 3-12 Mayo 0-16
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Seems like a lot of similar old failings for mayo - concession of goals, trying to run everything from the back despite this 20s team having good forwards.

Andy had them well drilled to foul in that last 15-20 to prevent any chance of a goal. Again something mayo could do with learning.

I'd say that was Ryan Jones of Derygonnelly and Fermanagh's influence. Andy be too honest for that kind of behaviour.

1st straight to Final
2nd and 3rd play a semi final.
An awful evening with rain and a cross wind which made any kind of good football near impossible.
Our lads fought to the end and deserved the late equaliser.
Even allowing for the conditions I doubt if either team will be troubling Jarlath with a trophy presentation.

We're going to bring home the SAM

That's a fair system can't have any complaints with that.

Some amount of draws though very competitive 😅

Yes U16s beat Kerry in their tournament cup final last year, high expectations on that group.

Well done our lads, a big win tonight and thanks to Sligo we're straight to the Final.

Sligo will be gunning for revenge v Galway in the Semi and we might well see a repeat of the 21 Minor Final. A different result this time please.

It was a great competition. Going into that last round, it could have went anyway. All 5 were in contention for top 3 spots. At half time Mayo were poised to win the group because they had the most points in a 3 way playoff between Galway, Ros and Mayo. With Sligo storming to a win after a second half comeback, Mayo went from 1st to last in the group. BTW where have all the Sligonians gone?
