The only way you would fill the new Casement would be to get Celtic to play Man Utd in a friendly, that would get the locals out in their thousands.

I wonder what Burns was promised for going to bat for Ulster Council?

I always hear this point about "regenerating a deprived area", and Burns is at it too, Andersonstown is not a deprived area, plenty of West Belfast is a kip but Andersonstown isn't.

I was coming out of Croke Park after the hurling final two weeks ago and there were two Clare fans pishing in the garden of a resident of Clonliffe Road. Have every sympathy for residents around Casement if that is what's ahead of them.

Galls will romp it. They're fine ambassadors for Antrim and the only time they let themselves down was the All-Ireland Intermediate hurling final.

And every time they played Cross

Anyone betting on this needs their head looked. A semi serious competition. Have Crossmaglen ever played in it ?

A total and utter waste of time that will lead to nothing, only the massaging of Richard Haass's ego (and that of his easy-on-the-eye sidekick) as some sort of international diplomatic firefighters. We'll still be in the same pile of shite in 20 years' time, and the swine (and their family employees) up in Stormont will still be at the trough, feeding off our taxes and delivering zilch

Absolutely. Another glorified talking shop, just like talks in Cardiff, lots of shite talk about "progress" and "positive dialogue" but nothing will change. I am sure they are all getting well fed and watered at it though

I don't think the normal route to the semi finals is the best or fairest way, again an open draw would solve a lot of problems, you can have your Munster, Ulster and Leinster as a side. We done really well this year I believe down to the fact that these lads were preparing hard for their club championships. As preparation was exactly as Ryan had said, rubbish

Where they not training hard for clubs the last few years when they were getting hammered in U-21 semis ?

The dates aren't really set in stone for under 21, there would have been big breaks between leagues games and championship games, various reasons. This year it worked out well

In what way are they not set in stone ? Semis are always end of August.

Orchardman antrim were a disgrace?? That comment is a disgrace. Do you know anything about hurling?

There have been years where all ireland finals in any code have turned into hammerings. Waterford kilkenny hurling and mayo kerry football being prime examples.

You beat what is in front of you. Antrim did and clare did.

U21 is a funny grade too. Tipp hockeyed galway too the other year. So what munster was stronger than the rest of ireland. What should they have done - just played munster?

Antrim beat wexford and deserved to be there and i don't buy this on the hop nonsense. That clare team would beat most senior teams and are at a stage in time where they are at their absolute peak with senior prep. Wexford would have suffered the same fate.

Ridiculous remark.

Some people saying Clare are excellent u-21 team, and they obviously are, to explain them hammering Antrim yesterday but they only beat Waterford by 4 and Tipp by something similar in Munster.

Antrim were badly out of their depth yesterday.

Joe had no problems celebrating in 2006 when Derry beat Tyrone in Omagh. If you watch the game you will see some of the most cynical tackles and play of the previous 15 years. The Tyrone players were simply not allowed to play, and Sean Cavanagh was pulled to the ground at every sign of danger.

Joe was dancing in the stands afterwards and had no problems with the Derry style of play, which at the end of the day won them the game.

Maybe Joe should go back and have a look at that game and his comments about it afterwards before he launches another personal attack.

An excellent example of Joe's ridiculous hypocrisy. That game was equal if not worse than any 'tactics' Tyrone employ. We all know Joe fires out controversial analysis and to stir the pot and raise his profile and I would normally take it with a large pinch of salt. The personal digs/insults of Sean and Mickey go way beyond the pale and, in actual fact, would make me think far less of the man Joe Brolly rather than SC.

He had way too much to drink that night too if memory serves me right.

Your constant sniping about Brollys "drinking" from behind an anonymous username is cowardly and pathetic.

Sure only a couple of weeks ago they joined forces with the SDLP and approved the use of unmanned Drones for the British Govt to spy on Irish citizens.

Who did ?

SF did. Does it surprise you?

Didn't know that. Nothing would surprise me about the politicians here. Why has this not received any media coverage ?

These resident are just hanging out for the compensation like the residents of jones rd and around croke park, making a big song and dance about effecting their way of life blah blah blah, they will get a few bob to keep quiet and tickets to all events and that will be the end of it

thats my chest cleared on that matter   :D

Dead right Onion Bag, they were looking 30 grand each, were told to do one and said they would settle for twelve grand, they aren't getting anything as far as I know. But yeah it's all about the money.
