Armagh have the best manager, are on an upward curve and will expect a top 4 slot this year. They are the mostl likely bet.
Mcgeeney the best manager?

Apparently so. Transferred Jamie Clarke into a bull of a half-back.

I'd add Cork and Monaghan. Monaghan could make real waves in this years championship. Galway could give Connacht a good old rattle the year

GAA Discussion / Re: GAA doing a deal with SkySports
February 12, 2015, 11:58:07 AM
Paul Rouse:

"One of the GAA's stated reasons for entering the deal was to provide coverage for the emigrant community. GAA General Secretary Paraic Duffy stated at the time that 11 million households in Britain had Sky Sports. In fact the figure was actually four million. And another fact is that the emigrant community already had access to GAA games. Premier Sports, part of the Setanta Sports group, provided 100 games a year, not just championship games but all the games shown on TG4, Setanta, TV3 and RTE, for a subscription fee of £10 a month.

Premier's commitment to the GAA also extended to sponsoring Warwickshire GAA. But under the Sky deal they were prevented from showing 20 live games exclusive to that broadcaster, which meant GAA fans in Britain had to pay an extra subscription. Because of the Sky deal the GAAGO service is only available on a reduced basis to the largest emigrant community of all, the one in Britain.

As Rouse points out, "Ultimately, when you take away the rhetoric of serving emigrants what you are left with is the provision of a service that was already available but was now fragmented, and now cost at least three times the established price."

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out.
It should be noted that the word 'kn**ker' is used relatively frequently (at least it was when I was playing) to denote someone who is acting the maggot.
Although it is wrong to call someone a kn**ker at any time, surely you recognise that calling this fella a kn**ker as well as a t**ker or telling him to go back to the campfire is a totally different ball game?

It's wrong to call anyone that.
My point is how do we know the comments were specifically aimed at him as a traveller.
Like I said, I've heard those phrases used a lot on the field, and to my knowledge they were never directed at a member of the travelling community.
A team-mate of mine was called a 'black pig' by an opponent once.
He wasn't black and he wasn't even in the guards.
Now if that comment was to be addressed to a young lad of African descent everyone would rightly go mental.
There are two questions here.
a) Did one or more Meath players make the comments they are alleged to have made
and
b) Did they know he was a traveller
If the answer to both questions is yes then I hope they get suspended for a long, long time.

take your oil ffs !

B team out of a population of 1.5 million should be fairly decent in fairness. Especially against a crowd of country folk from the economically and emigration ravaged north west

Any simple way of getting showbox on chronecast?
If you are using it via an Adroid phone or tablet you will also need to download Localcast also.

Dipped for a chromecast and use localcast.  Chromecast is some toy...best £30 I ever spent

How are we 1 day away from this game and still have no topic on it. What's everyone's opinion on it will jim Gavin play a stronger team this weekend or will he continue to experiment with the younger lads

Must say I've not looked forward to a league game as much in a long tine. Great to play in croke park and should be a good crowd to help create a good atmosphere

Dublin will continue to field a weak team. Last week's sub had zero championship time between them.

Donegal to win this at a canter.

Is it possible for Dublin to field a weak team I thought they had the strongest panel in Ireland?

The pressure is on you tomorrow. anything less then 6-7 point win really isn't acceptable

No faith in the much lauded Dublin panel?

Good win. Back on track after the match against Chelsea and momentum on the up again. Defeat from a dodgy penalty would have been a real kick in the teeth.

Stone-wall penalty. I called it before ref blew his whistle. Clough is some little player and he did Big Martin. No way it couldn t have been a peno imo. We got very lucky with Gudjohnsen's missed header. That was the game.

But overall that was a good performance - the last while has been good. The change of formation has suited the players (the better ones) and its a different side from first 4 months of season.

Johnson obviously has no future. Maybe it s just me but I just curl up when Allen is about. Whoever suggested Mario was a good idea should be ran. Wouldn t mind Lambert - type of lad you could drink bitter with all day or shoot out a bit of fishing line.
I m now kinda regretting losing Gerrard. Looks like he is playing better now the team has more about them.

Matches would be some craic if that was indeed a stone wall penalty. A brush against the attacking player, he dives, penalty. Zero craic

Good second half from Donegal. Could even afford to gift Derry two of their three second half points! Derry couldn't handle Murphy when he went in full forward, Neil Gallagher and Christy Toye were immense and we did very well with the turnovers in the second half.

Two points down, four left to get! :)

Murphy gave a masterclass on how to 'win' frees / panalties alright. Either lean back into the defender or shake your head and fall to your knees. Duffy fell for it everytime

Penalty was questionable,  but that was about it. The free a few minutes before it was a foul.

I was sat directly across along the 13.....Duffy was conned for both.

Anyways, the match is done and dusted. Kerry at home on Sunday. Should be interesting
