Downloaded some photo editing software from kickass over the weekend.  You have to go via a proxy site.  First time in a good while right enough.

What's the latest with using torrents?  I haven't had the need to use them for ages having switched to Kodi for all TV/movie content, however I need a piece of software and had real difficulty finding and accessing the usual sites like piratebay and kickass because of the new google restrictions and my internet provider blocking them.

Are they as good as finished or has something else replaced them? What have people switched to?

I was looking for an audiobook of Born To Run* on a Pirate Bay proxy the other day and there was bugger all on it.

Audible.com will give you a free download of your first audiobook, if that's any help ...

For file sharing of all content under the sun, warez-bb.org still rules the roost and if what you want isn't there then bolt.cd is very good for tv shows,  e books and audio books.

For torrents probably ET torrent, but navigation is disturbed by a plethora of those pop up windows, for peace of mind I use an add on called no script, however that doesn't work so well with sport stream web pages.

The 'proxies' (they have nothing to proxy anymore) are just taking the old KAT torrent database and a few new torrents, if that. Seeder to leecher ratios tend to be very poor on those imitation sites.

You'll notice I said mainstream. Most movies and most US/UK tv shows are available on it. That covers 95% of peoples' needs.

1.8gb photoshop cs6 downloaded from kickass on sat in less than 15 mins. The seed count was low,  but no complaints from me!
