It is manifestly a waste of time when those with whom you wish to unite do not wish to unite with you,and their ministers admit on tv debates that unity is in any case unaffordable.

It is manifestly a waste of time to try to concentrate on the development of a statelet that has been consistently proven over 80 odd years to be an abject failure and does not have the resources to sustain itself.

Feck, didn't know that.  Idiots like this will ruin the fun for all of us.  I've often wondered if there's anything stopping someone taking one to an airport and flying it dangerously close to the flight paths of the incoming planes (in a bid to get a great photo or something).  Licensing is coming.

I think they are brilliant and when used for genuine enjoyment or business (they are awesome for site surveys etc) they are extremely useful.  Unfortunately, if you've another motive for using them they are too handy for spying and generally being a nuisance.  For instance, there's nothing to stop some nutter flying one above the pitch during big sporting occasions, and sooner or later it's going to cause hassle.  It's only a matter of time before they will need to be licensed.

Lads you are taking the idiot's bait again... as I've pointed out on this board numerous times, you will never change this dinosaur's mind on anything, even by presenting the most irrefutable evidence.

The only way to deal with him is to starve him of the oxygen of attention which he so desperately craves.

Open the thread, roll your eyes, close it again and watch it tumble down the list to join the myriad of other nonsensical threads he has created here over the years.

This thread reminds me of Russell Crowe in Gladiator growling at the crowd "are you not entertained?!!"

Is that what Clarke is, a slave who's life should be lived and conducted at the beck and call of the GAA and its supporters?

The man owes NO ONE outside of his family and friends any explanation or justification.

Agreed it's just that people shouldn't pretend he's a great player because he isn't. He's achieved nothing to be considered in that bracket.

Entitled to do whatever he wants like any man but he's not entitled to think he can be considered anything but an average player at county level

You've changed your mind then Indiana? :P

(Your previously expressed admiration for him had stuck in my mind for some reason)

Good grief that was awful viewing. Both sides decided to play like Cavan.

Thank God for Jamie Clarke and Andy Mallon. Only reason for tuning in.

Roscommon flatter to deceive yet again.

Yes both teams decided to play like Cavan. Lets ignore the facts that Armagh scored 1-17 against the same oppostion that Cavan scored 5 points, and that Roscomman posted a respectable tally. Would suit your argument better heh?

Cavan don't have Jamie Clarke. He was the difference as he always is for Armagh.

Like one wonders where you'd be without him.

He has the awful misfortune to be born in an era where he has only average individuals around him.

Had he been around in 2003-2008 you'd have won another 2 all-irelands at least

Oh dear.  Indiana's having a bad time on the board of late.

And 90% of them are driving second hand cars, because folk like laoislad would rather pay through the nose for a second hand status symbol than get a car practical and affordable to their lifestyle.

Anybody that goes into a showroom and buys a new car only to lose 25-40% of the value of it as soon as they stick a set of plates on it needs their head examined.

And if some people decide they want a nice second hand car, well sure that's their lookout.  I'm sure they won't be giving a shit about you in the 1.0L Liana as you drive past in your jealous rage.

Is there a connection between the Green Fields and the Green Eyed Monster...

It's amazing you know what I drive, I'd say you are a status symbol kinda guy, you bigfella, laoislad etc should swap car pics, be nice to share at christmas time.

In the spirit of giving if you PM me your address I'll send you one too.  You can hang it on the rear view mirror of the Liana.

Actually with all the dealer discounts (finance contributions if you need too & lower Apr rates for new) the difference is minimal. Depending on the model and dealer needing to make targets; you can negotiate some great discounts which heavily negate the depreciation.

Gone are the days cash was king and if you are paying cash, it's nearly always better to take the finance from the dealer (as there is usually no early settlement charges) so you can get a additional deposit contribution and then just settle the next week with the finance company for the cash price (you can only be charged interest for the length of the finance period).

Very few cars lose anything near 40% coming of the forecourt. Certainly none of the premium brands derided in the last few posts won't. If it does, then you payed to much or you bought something sh1te.

Never bought brand new in my life.  This quote is taken from the AA website.

A new car loses value as soon as you drive off the forecourt and by the end of the first year will have lost around 40% of its value. This varies a lot though and the best may lose as little as 10%.

http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/car-buyers-guide/cbg_depreciation.html

Let some other guy run it in for 10-20k miles, offer them £10k less than they paid for it and pocket his last two years warranty.

And we now have the added bonus of sending Green Fields into a bit of a tailspin (pardon the pun)...

Not having a pop at Mc Nulty. Obviously well respected but.....read the piece again Beffs and please state what part you personally disagree with?

The power shower thing great when you win....but returning from the final this year my overriding emotion was that Kerry lost the final  (by missing scoring chances they would normally take in their sleep) more than Dublin won it. Or put it another way. Kerry were shite by their own very high standards and we're still therabouts at the end. The power shower thing only has to not work once and the manager is looking for a new psychology team for the following year.

Brolly never clarified whether he was talking about sports psychology or mental health in general . And because of this he looks like a prize idiot. Insensitive and stupid article in my opinion .

Here is the second paragraph of the article.

Though not quite as easy as the money made by sports psychologists, who continue to make fortunes from dressed-up statements of the obvious. The trick is to repeat them in the manner of Moses arriving back down from the mountain with the ten commandments.

At least read it before referencing it.  Prize idiot indeed.

He could have given up his old ways when the War ended in 1998. ;)
Every time an "old Provo" is nailed will open a lot of potential SF voters' eyes to the nature of the beast.
The less seats they get the better the chance of saving the State being fcukd up economically again.
I have to think of the children's future not getting more funds for "Community Workers".

If it takes this verdict to open the eyes of potential voters to the behaviour of Murphy then I'd venture they've been living in that 'cuckooland' you were discussing earlier.  This changes nothing, you'd just like it to because it makes you feel good.
