Community Water Pumps, now just folksy decorations for Tidy Towns, but I remember having to go to one when staying in my grannies to get buckets of water every day.

Haven't heard the curlew since the 80s. Apparently skylarks, who you'd hear every day above the meadows and bogs, are getting scarce too.
