QuoteDid you not see that film "300"?

No, must go to it. Never thought of looking at it for coaching tips. Must actually arrange for all the club coaches to go. We'll ate all opponents without salt after!

It's required pre-match viewing up in Tyrone. Although they take it a bit too literally.

I've heard of a fool giving an U-12 squad a "fitness test" which involved basically running laps until you dropped out as the other eejit selector sat with the stopwatch timing them.

That builds fighting spirit and mental strength! Did you not see that film "300"? :o

Cowboys need coaching too.

What's the story with Daithí Regan?

I totally forgot about Daithí. I believe he had an accident at work a while ago but he's back playing for the club now. He'd be a huge addition. My forward line (if fit) would be HF: Bray, Geraghty, McLoughlin, FF: Regan, Farrell, Ward. Plenty of lads that can take a score and 2 wing forwards that will work back when they have to. I'd move Reilly to centre back and put Moyles midfield with Ward. We'd have a spine as good as any team out there.

Peadar Byrne still looks like a lad that has won a competition to play for his county. Total headless chicken. Every time he bears down on goal I sit back safe in the knowledge that it'll either be saved or go wide. He's fast. SO WHAT! Not to mention the fact that he is a disciplinary timebomb. I honestly don't think he should be anywhere near a modern intercounty team. Any word on Barry Lynch? Where is Shane McKeigue gone by the way? I know he had a nightmare time with injuries, but he's the sort of lad you want in there. Hard-working, good fielder and can take a score. I totally agree by the way that if Brian Farrell gets injured we're screwed. I was impressed with Fayser again today. The team has a good spine but we need to be more decisive in our play.

Just watching it now. That ref is chronic. I think he's an Armagh man. Looks about 17. As the fella on LMFM said, you wouldn't see that many cards at Christmas time. Good win though.

At least no one got bitten this time.

I would have thought Shine was the obvious candidate for progression from last years minors but he's a tall, rangy lad so you're better off not rushing him. Give him another year to develop and he should be some player. Was the lad Cregg full forward against us in Navan last year? I remember being impressed with him.

Kicking someone in the face and biting them (if that is what happened) are nowhere near the same ballpark as throwing a punch at a fella in a melee when he's in a position to protect himself. Melees happen, thats life. But if a fella charges into one and starts throwing kicks, it's considered a very low act.

I'm actually furious about this. Largely because of the sheer maliciousness involved and the terible injuries the young lad received, but also because I have a feeling deep down that NOTHING will happen. The whole association is affected by stuff like this. If the Tyrone county board cannot reign in this element amongst the players, officials, spectators etc. then it must be taken out of their hands. Why is this happening so often in Tyrone? Can any of the red hand posters here explain it?

well was over in hoganstand and their message board had a letter from a brocagh member and it said:

Inter County U-18 Tyone- Moy against Brocach
Absolutly dis-gusted by the behaviour of a couple of Individuals on the Moy Minor team for their behaviour on Wednesday 4/25/07 while playing Brocagh Emmetts.
A young lad for Brocagh received treatment on the field of play that has left me in total shock and dis-believe.
During the time of play this lad received a sickeningly bite from an individual on the Moy team to his back so deep that it was ensured that he had received a tentanis injection, I still feel sick to the gut as I type this, "If a dog carries out an action like this it would get put down!!! this lad was just your regular lad going out to give his all for that club he loves down the road. Expecting like most other to have a bit of craic this weekend. Little did he know what his eventual outcome would hold this week.
An incident occured during the second half, which right now has made me feel sick from the moment the results came back from the X-ray departments of both Craigavon and Dundonald, In what many would say was a minor scurmage, the Brocagh lad ended up on the ground, sounds pretty normal in gaelic, I know. That Ive no problem with. It is the action carried out by that certain Moy Individual that I do! I beleive we are all accountable for our own actions. And thats why I refer to the certain lads as indivuals.
He proceeded with a kick to the face while the player was on the ground, that left the brocagh lad with -
3 Clean breaks of the Jaw
Multiple Fractures of the Jaw bone
Multiple loss of teeth
Steel plates installed in his Jaw and Cheek bones
Teeth wired together for the next 8-10 weeks
Physcological Damage
Food taken through a straw for 8-10 weeks
Life lasting injuries to his Jaw,face and teeth
not to mention the Severely deep bite on his back.

And as he left left the Moy GFC Changing rooms he was asked by "that" certain indivual if he liked the boot to the face!
This sickens me to the core
Now this lad like any other is a Son, a Brother,a Friend, a Lad,

At this point I ask all Gaels, all sportsmen of Tyrone, Ulster and Ireland, just like us, we all love the aul football, to come together, an ensure the Moy GFC and the Tyrone County Board fully investigate the happenings of the game, and that the offenders are brought forward and receive the maximum, punishments, that The G.A.A as an organisation and Sporting Body can apply to such offences.

If thats true, ban him for life. If he has it in him to do that as a minor, god knows what he'll do at senior level. If this whole incident has been described accurately, the officials and members of Moy GFC must act fast and act decisively. No lame defence and NO APPEALS! There is no place for this behaviour in our association.

Meath

Football: I'll stick my neck out and say we'll win Leinster.
Hurling: Tip away like we always do.

Look, Roscommon are favourites. You needn't present evidence to the contrary as I'll just ignore it (fingers in ears "la,la,la,la,la, I am not listening") ;D

It'll be interesting to see if Maughan can win that elusive national title - in Croker and against Meath. Memories eh?  ;)

Ros seem to have a few injury problems though while Meath are full strength(?) so I presume they are favourites. Any word on the odds? Here's hoping for a good game but I think I speak for most Mayo people when I say that we wouldn't know who to support.  :P

Roscommon are definitely favourites for this one.

Don't know about that one Jinxy. Meath hammered us off the field in Navan 8 months ago in the Tommy Murphy cup. We are without our most influential player in Shaq O'Neill and John Nolan our first choice centre half is out with a chest infection. His two replacements John Woggie Nolan (yes there are two of them) and Darragh Donnelly are also both out. Hardly makes us favourites to beat a Meath team who dismissed Monaghan (who also beat us well at the start of the league this year) without the likes of Geraghty and a few other first choice players even starting.

Who'd have thunk there were 2 Woggie Nolans in the world. ???

P.S. Roscommon are favourites (no comebacks!)
