Ferguson was properly butchered there.. few dirty tackles but free to concentrate on Madrid now and top 4
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Was a bad tackle alright, and by Fabs reaction he knew that too. I think it was a poorly executed challenge rather than a malicious one and think that saved him from getting a red, though he couldn't have any complaints if he had of got a red.
Hopefully Ferguson is ok.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Danger here. Ferguson has an English mother and the Times wants him for England.

Didn't see the tackle, but consensus seems to be that Fabinho should have got the line.

Hope Ferguson is ok.

As I watching the Ballybofey game, I didn't see much of this. What I did see looked much improved from recent days. Supposedly those second half subs changed things for the worse.

Great winning goal, albeit a little too reminiscent of Welbeck's from two weeks ago.

Poorly executed my hole. Potential career ending tackle which should be a red at minimum and a lengthy ban. Horrific.

Next 5-6 games will make or break the season you'd imagine.
Wolves away, Everton at Home, Newcastle away, then Madrid, Palace away and Man United at home.
Was disappointing to lose yesterday but the above games are more important, wouldn't be confident at all going into any of those games though.

Would a top 4 CL place suffice for Liverpool for this season?

In the current position/ form, absolutely.

Armamike

Disappointing not to see a midfielder signed this month.  Makes a top 4 finish virtually out of the question, given the way the current midfield has performed most of this season.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Ulster Frank

Horrific challenge from Fabinho. Should have got the line. Himself and Thiago always escape cards for bad tackles   Referees afraid to upset Mr Klopp?

United are streets ahead of Liverpool as a functioning team right now.

Van Dijk, Jota and Firmino (not Diaz unfortunately) are due back by then, but will they be fit and back in form?

And who knows what kind of magic Dyche will have woven over that Everton squad?:p

Liverpool's season is done. It's about getting summer recruits lined up.

Police chiefs apologise for Hillsborough failures
Chair of National Police Chiefs' Council says sorry over 1989 football stadium disaster

The national body for police chief constables has issued an official apology for the police failures that led to the unlawful killing of 97 people in the 1989 Hillsborough disaster, and for the "pain and suffering" experienced by the bereaved families for years afterwards.
Martin Hewitt, the chair of the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC), made the apology at the launch of a report setting out senior police officers' commitments to learn lessons from the Hillsborough failures. These include every force having signed a charter for bereaved families in 2021 that requires police organisations to acknowledge mistakes with "openness" and "candour" after a public tragedy, and not "seek to defend the indefensible", as South Yorkshire police were accused of doing after the 1989 disaster.

Andy Marsh, a chief constable and the chief executive of the College of Policing, the standards-setting body for the police in England and Wales, said a new code of ethics would also be issued for consultation in the next few weeks, that would incorporate a code of practice requiring chief police officers to ensure openness and candour including in inquests and public inquiries.
Marsh also made an apology, saying: "Policing has profoundly failed those bereaved by the Hillsborough disaster over many years and we are sorry that the service got it so wrong. Police failures were the main cause of the tragedy and have continued to blight the lives of family members ever since. When leadership was most needed, the bereaved were often treated insensitively and the response lacked coordination and oversight."
