All over Tipp 0-11 Cork 0-8. Tipp play Kerry in the final and for the second time in 3 years Cork beat Kerry only to be knocked out by Tipp while Kerry go through to a Munster final!!

Mad finish tonight as St Galls scored TWO injury-time goals to beat Creggan Kickhams at their place by 2-9 to 2-8 in the Antrim SFL: https://vimeo.com/66277770

Joke that system. Some serious players coming through in Tipperary.

Brilliant win for the minors tonight in Semple Stadium. Delighted for Charlie McGeever after stepping into Davie Powers shoes, but it shows that the continuity is there. That's 3 years in a row beating Cork I think, and looking for 4 wins over Kerry in 3 years in the final. That sort of success would be unheard of 10 years ago, and the challenge is to keep it going even when blips or bumps come along.

Kerry will be very tough in the final, but fair play to Tipp on a great night tonight.

How would this team compare to some of the recent teams AZ?

Onlooker

Great win for Tipp tonight.   A hugely under rated minor team gave a heart warming display to beat Cork for the 3rd year in a row.  No mean feat.  Tipp missed a lot of scores and shot several bad wides, but the backs were outstanding and Colin O'Riordan gave an exhibition at midfield.  Alan Tynan was the main man in attack scoring 7 points.  This is a very young team, with 3 Under 16's and very few gave them a chnace against Cork tonight.

Wouldn't be as highly rated as its immediate predecessors but is very game and tight at the back. As onlooker mentions a few u16s on the panel including 3 on the pitch tonight. The vast majority came through the academy and they would have been very competitive in development tournaments.

Cork are out of the championship altogether after 1 defeat - while Kerry lose to Cork then and then make final after beating Waterord. Not that there should really be a second chance in the provincial championship, maybe for the finalists. Fair play to Tipp
