They have failed to keep a clean sheet in 8 of their last 9 League games. Even when they do keep a clean sheet they invariably look suspect at the back. Luiz and Holding are not viable options at centre back, and Xhaka should have been sold at least a year ago.

They're still a shambles. Look at how few clean sheets they've kept in the League lately.

They've conceded 31 goals in 34 games under Arteta. Major improvement. 14 clean sheets too.

Good for him. Arsenal seem intent on portraying him as the villain, when the reality is he's willing and able to play.

Interesting potential explanation there manfromdelmonte. It would be good to know the truth on this asthma story. It certainly raises a few red flags if it is true.

Strangely almost no Liverpool supporters seem keen to uncover the truth of the matter....

Surely this is becoming a major concern for Liverpool given how many asthmatics they apparently have in the squad? I

I'd have thought all the asthmatics would have been told to self isolate for their own safety given they would be in a higher risk category than non-asthmatics?

Can anyone think of a logical reason why this is not the case?...
Cause they aren't actually asthmatic?

I haven't watched him as much as Celtic fans would have, but just based on what I've seen at Arsenal so far he's been quite underwhelming compared with how he was being talked up.

In fairness to him he's in a side which has been a shambles defensively and he hasn't been their worst defender.

I'd still expect Liverpool to stroll to the title given the complete lack of credible competitors, but it's become clear over the last 6 to 9 months that this Liverpool side are not the all time greats some were giddily declaring when they won the title.

The truth is they are the beneficiaries of a significant drop in quality in the Premier League.

If the stats don't back it up then the stats aren't the appropriate stats to look at. Anyone who watched Magherafelt knows they're incredibly conservative in their approach.

Meanwhile racial stereotyping goes completely unchallenged by the rest of you. A sorry state of affairs.

Is this the kind of unprovoked abuse which is tolerated round these parts?

Very unbecoming behaviour from a referee imo.

Tierney seems massively overrated based on what I've seen of him so far.

Essentially you believe the overweight consistently awful white English left-back "maxed out in life" while the goalscoring black man is lazy and was given too much money too young.

Gotcha Ron 👍

Seems Taylor and the wobbler are either unwilling or unable to address my posts asking them to explain what they mean.

Quite telling...

Quite telling? Lad I'm working.

Paul Pogba is a most commercial footballer. The epitome of "it ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it". His focus is on his brand, not his career. His inability to maintain a consistent performance level means he can't currently attract a better brand (club) to partner with. Which is why the transfer tittle tattle has dried up. He will only go somewhere if it makes him more marketable. So he has largely given up, and instead of being inconsistent, he's now unbothered.

Funnily enough I would at least praise him for having focus on something. Martial is even lazier. Too much money too young for that one.

It smacks of McCarthyism when you can't criticise players for fear of being branded a racist.

Luke Shaw is a key member of the lazy camp too. But a player of his limited technique and versatility maxed out in life in getting a long term Man Utd contract. Even if he gave a Henderson-style determination to proceedings he'd still be an average left back.

Whereas Martial and Pogba both have the physical and technical attributes to rank among the best players in the world. What's stopping them isn't a series of managers, it is themselves.

Agreed. Worth remembering he was up against a team masterminded by tactical genius Dean Smith too.
