GAA Discussion / Re: Division one 2021

Seafoid, why would you say it will continue into next year and beyond? Surely once 70% of the population is vaccinated things will go back to normal. Covid might never go away but will probably become endemic through a combination of vaccination and natural immunity.

Smurfy, I wouldn't be as pessimistic as Tommygun. Vaccines will get us out of this. We'll be in a lot better place by May/June. Maybe back to normal by September.

Who's left the panel high fielder? On another note the start of leagues are being pushed out till the end of March at least.

It's hard to see the leagues goin ahead. With the UK varient taking over and it been more transmissible cases would just shoot up again if things open up again. Wouldn't be surprised if we're in level 5 till end of March when all over 70s are vaccinated.

I haven't posted here for a while but have been checking in from time to time. One observation is Angelotends to repeat the same bull everyday on this thread.

Laochra Gael with Alan Brogan should be interesting this evening. Laois are to feature a good bit in it.

If the search for a senior manager is to be wrapped up next week, I'm sure somebody on here would have an idea of who is in line for it

The appointment of Evans would straight away reverse everything that John Sugrue put right. I would love to see Jack O Connor get the job but unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be too many options out there.

That's a huge setback. No obvious candidates to take over either. I hope we don't go back to journey man managers.
