Jimmy Keaveney scored 2-6 from play in the '77 All Ireland Final v Armagh
No that 2-6 score from Keaveney included frees, as did Mikey Sheehy's 2-6 in 1979.
Highest score all scored from play in a Senior All Ireland final (to the best of my knowledge) is still Frank Stockwell's 2-5 against Cork in 1956 (which will always remain the highest score for a 60 minute final) that was matched by Eoin Liston for Kerry with 3-2 all from play in one of the 4 in a row finals.

I stand corrected

I think Liston's 3-2 was in the '78 Final when Kerry absolutely destroyed Dublin

In the SFC, I think 18pts is the biggest score anyone has achieved.
Johnny Joyce (Dublin) 5-03
Matty Hoey (Sligo) 3-09
Rory Gallagher (Fermanagh) 3-09
Cillian O'Connor (Mayo) 3-09

In the NFL 23pts is the biggest score total
Frank Donnelly (Tyrone) 5-08
Followed by
Pat Hallissey (Tipp) 5-05

There was a game in the Antrim junior football tonight that was 16-23 to no score. I wonder were any of those personal records beaten.

Mitchels? Are they obliged to enter the JFC or what's the reasoning behind it?

up the rovers

I played a match for Armoy many years ago in which my wee mate Olcan (Clute ) McFetridge scored 4-14 against Randalstown, and we still lost!!!!

No idea to be honest. I imagine it's a choice.

Johnny Joyce claimed six goals from that game (against Longford). One of his goals was counted as an "own goal".
