Wonder will the u-21 management be at the u-21 final, and when its over, will they be big enough to turn round and say that they seriously cocked up over their rating of Michael Pollock.

Saw the guy in a senior league game a few weeks ago, and he looked in a different class, despite quite a few recent past and present county players. How the fcuk he was overlooked by Mister O`Pray and co is beyond me, and quite a few others I have to say.

Just wonder will he have the balls to own up to a serious misjudgement. And to think that some of last years management didnt rate Crozier either, it really makes you think that some selectors really do have their own (club) agendas.

I think you'll find that Crozier was indeed very highly rated. As he was still a minor, they had first call on him, and O'Prey had him play a meaningless league game instead of releasing him for the Tyrone match.

hold on there indiana, just because we have not much coverage there is still plenty of hurling going on.

fair play to armagh on sunday. great to see them in the hurling championship

Certainly is, I had the (dis) pleasure of having to mark Declan Coulter a few years ago in a school's match and I'd have to say he's a hurler who'd grace any stage.

It only starts on RTE this week, so I'd say people will be more likely to tune into the thread.

Have been getting it off rapidshare, and that twist was definitely a surprise so early in the episode, but there were hints in previous episodes. J70, try not to give too much away!

Perhaps by scoring more league goals with inferior supporting players...?!?!

Just a thought...

mckay was the last man to beat duddy, albeit as an amateur.  he is very keen to get in the ring with duddy and i think a fight in dublin in summer would pull a big crowd.  duddys management are looking him to fight taylor st patricks weekend 08,  far to soon, he needs to work his way up the rankings, better opponent each time.  i think a defeat against taylor in 08 would set him back big time.

Never mind that by that stage Taylor could have moved up to Super Middle/Light Heavy! Which, in fairness, may be no bad thing from Duddy's point of view.

Anyone know the score with the Bernard Hopkins-Winky Wright fight? What weight will it be at?

Duddy shouldn't even think of going anywhere near Jermain Taylor for a long time to come! Completely different class! James Moore is going well, but perhaps left it a bit late to turn pro.

I took my girlfriend into an Ann Summers shop the other day and splashed out on a pair of knickers, so I had to buy them.

Brilliant!

The only goodd thing about Coppers is the challenge of trying to sneak in without paying once you come out fully loaded from the Palace!

Gallsman you're a bit harsh in your assessment of your club mate Burkey, yes there may be better stick men out there and players that have been on the panel longer and have more experience. But this is his first full year playing division one senior club hurling, and having watched and played along side him recently there has been a big improvement in his game. Sambo and Woody obviously see that the guy is a workhorse who does not stop, takes, and gives big tackles.

As it is he's not on the first team so no need for undue criticism, playing last night against Loughgiel down there he battled hard and scored points from midfield he's only 19 and in two or three years he will have developed into a good county hurler.

Some of the names not playing for the county are good hurlers but what do the managers do, do they pick hurlers on reputation or commitment?

I fully accept this MR, but from what I remember of Burkey (and I was only the one year above him), and what I still saw even in the Ulster Minor Club Football, is that he is overly cocky, and tends to pick up needless cards against fellas who are considerably smaller than him. He always had something to say, but never really had anything to back it up with. How that will turn out at senior level I just don't know. But never, say never, hopefully he's grown up a bit and realised that he has far too much talent (at both codes) to be arsing around and trying to start rows.

Sean Burke & Eddie McCloskey on that panel? Gimme a break! Burkey is a footballer and is too soft for Senior Championship. Hate to say it about a clubmate, but it's true. I've marked Eddie McCloskey in my time, and while he's a decent enough hurler, he shouldn't be anywhere near that panel.

General discussion / Dublin Student Accomodation
May 10, 2007, 12:00:56 AM
Lads, does anyone know of any good places in Dublin that would be suitable for five Trinity lads (each preferring their own room) that would be willing to accept students on the lease? Results so far have tentatively turned up a place in "Ashdale Avenue" in Harold's Cross, which we can't find on a map, and a place on the corner of the North Circular Road and Dorset Street. Places with four and six bedrooms would also be considered, as we're trying to tempt a sixth fella to go in with us. Ideally, we'd like to be no further north or south than the places already mentioned, but would be willing to go as far North as Marino/Fairview and as far south as Dartry. As a fivesome, our topmost budget would be aound the €2700 a month mark or €3200 for six of us.

Any information, links, tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Taken from Scrubs.

An American fella has two coins which together add up to 30 cent. One of them isn't a nickel. What are the coins?
