Anyone want to supply me a copy of said PDF? I don't think I'd buy the book but I'd certainly give it a wee skim through

I'll take a copy too if it's not too much bother

IF the Ulster Final is moved to Casement down the line,  would it not mean the GAA being hit with a fair old tax bill from gate receipts?

In the words of Stallion, Liverpool need to learn to close out a game.

Do you mean they need to learn to hammer teams week in week out? At 2-1 with 10 left,  Liverpool introduced a defensive midfielder and closed out the game securing 3 points.  But for a couple of pieces of brilliantly brave defending it would have been 4-1 (the 1 being a bit of a fluke)

People can put what they want on my old jeep. It's a mess anyway.
I don't get this, but then again I'm not a car person. I'd be more excited about getting a new camera than a new car. Never owned a brand new car. Could never afford one but even if I could I wouldn't.

What if someone lifted your new camera and had a fiddle with the buttons without your permission? Fwiw,  the woman in question is a chancer,  no more no less.  Most women are fairly crazed when out shopping.  I know my wife comes home from Sainsburys with some head on her at times.

Liverpool are a great team to watch under Klopp.  Energy levels and movement unreal at times.  He's a breath of fresh air to listen to when interviewed.

GAA Discussion / Re: 2016 Season. How did you see it?
October 19, 2016, 02:03:38 PM
I viewed the 2016 as I've viewed the last few seasons footballing wise. Some good matches and a lot of very defensive matches that were not so easy on the eye and the odd surprise result. Having viewed the final and replay, and the incredible fitness levels required, and more importantly, the money and lifestyle needed to get to these levels, I can't see much changing in the near future. We've had a clatter of men depart the Derry panel, and sadly, I can see this happening all over the country to all but a few counties.  On one hand you've the huge honour of representing your county, on the other you're putting your life and hold and committing everything you have to get to the required levels.

So for me 2016 = unparalleled fitness levels which will unfortunately lead to increased levels of men stepping away leaving teams fielding the most committed as opposed to the best. I realise this isn't new to 2016, but the season just past really drove it home imo

Roll on the The O'Fiaich Cup !

I was at a conference years ago and Rubin Carter....the Hurricane....was the motivational speaker.

One of the lads I worked with was from New Jersey and his wife's Uncle has worked on the case

He claimed that they had all types of evidence that never made it to trial and that the Hurricane was actually as guilty as sin and possibly even implicated in other murders-lol

I heard the opposite, though didn't lol

Handy enough draw for Derry.  We've either Donegal or Antrim in the semi

In the main the kind of people who go to soccer matches are agressive , hateful , alpha males. A significant percentage of those who follow the ROI and NI are hateful and agressive . The same applies to the clubs these kind of people support.  I don't go to soccer much now bar a few Limerick games each year.  I used to go to ROI games but don't bother now .

So you're a hateful and aggressive male by your own definition

Finished with the Fall aftee tonite. Can't take the slow pace of it anymore.

Or the bad acting

Please please let something of substance happen next week or I'll be out too!!!

I understand the slow burn but you need something mad to happen every once in a while to keep the interest spiked... Some of the acting is horrific as well especially the young blade!

There are some amount of mangled accents in it

The first episode finished me

Watched the first 3 episodes of Designated Survivor... Enjoying it.  Good pace to it

No stand out performers the past few years for POTY, maybe to do with the over defensive way the game has went. Were Connolly or Rock good enough for an All Star this year? Harte and McHughwould be guaranteed if it came down to individual performances alone

100% agree on Harte and McHugh,  add Keegan and Connolly  and you've the 4 best players in the country right now.  System wise as well nrico,  you gotta feel for the likes of McManus and McBrearty etc.  If those boys were about in the 90s they'd have made some hay
