All a bit up in the air!

Firstly....Derry CB considering the return of RG.....absolute lunacy......surely not....read the room ffs...

Secondly....would CM be happy enough to return as a number 2 after his success as number 1.....I'm not so sure...maybe he would....

Thirdly.....M'OR happy enough to give up his position at Glen to take the Derry job??  Both unbelievable opportunities...how do you choose (? ££££)....I don't think a hybrid works if that's the thinking!

Hard to know what to make of it all..

Derry GAA confirmed that Rory Gallagher will not be returning as manager.

One recent manager I recall double jobbing was Anthony Cunningham when led Garycastle to AI final and was also Galway Hurling manager at the time, he then focused fully with Galway.  Something O'Rourke could do once Glen's season is over.

The length of time that it took to completely rule RG out raises questions...

The uncertainty around CM....

The fact that there has been no official announcement on the the new appointment so late in the day....strange...

Double jobbing.....not sure either Glen or Derry would be happy with that...but sure what would I know!

Will Meenagh be given another year regardless of the result.
Will he want it - a genuine question. I think he has done great.

Have nothing but respect for the man....

It's bound to have been a really hard year for him...incredibly difficult...

I'd say the decision will rest with him....

Didnt see any real questionable ref decisions from the Cork game as we were so awful. Though how did he not give a black card for the penalty

For it to be a black card and a penalty it has to be a black card offence (normally this is a pull down to the ground).  It doesn't matter how "cynical" the foul is, unless it meets the definition of a black card then it won't be a black card just because it's a penalty.
A push in the back is not a black card offence.

I can't believe how poorly understood that rule is by commentators and pundits.

There was arguably 2 black offenses in the 1 move. The hand trip followed by the 2nd which was more borderline, there was a shunt in the back but the Cork man did have his arms around McGuigan

Exactly this...

Seemed to be 2 fouls by 2 seperate players....Ref missed the pull to the foot as one of the fouls (?) perhaps....

This is a great thread for comfort....some sound advice...

I think for many....there can be really bad days mixed with good....a real strange world out there...

It's easy to say with hindsight...but I often find myself worrying about various problems....only to overcome them a short while after....and think....what the hell was I worrying about?

Obviously it's not as simple as I describe...but hopefully you get the idea...

Its important to remember that tomorrow's a new day...

I wish all those suffering the very best.....its certainly not easy at times...

Keep the head up as best you can....

Please also remember folks.....there's people that depend on you and your strength....keep that in mind when feeling down...

Is Sunday genuinely sold out at this stage??

No tickets available on line anyway at this point...

Wonder will there be a further release??

Seeing what season ticket holders are doing first?? (cant be that many causing this sort of delay......)

What was with throwing the towel in last night.

Would a corner not wait to see if he was goin to get up before throwing it as the count would stop the fight in any event and from my mind throwing the towel in is the worst way for a fighter to have the fight ended woukd they both prefer to take the big shot and 10 count?

I'd say it was in relation to how heavy handed Lopez was and to save Conlan from any further damage. Conlan wouldn't have known where he was if he had beat the 10 count and against Lopez that would have been dangerous to say the least. He wasn't beating the 10 count anyway I don't think so the towel going in didn't make a difference.

100%.....

Throwing in the towel was the right call.....

Often the men in the corner get criticised for not acting quick enough....spot on last night!

Armagh are capable of playing football so they are worth watching in the hope that that they might do. Derry will play as they always do so hopefully they'll be eleminated soon so everyone won't waste another Sunday afternoon of their life
