Errigal Ciaran v Carrickmore - by 2 points  ;)

I'm looking forward to this one. 😎
As am I. Going in with relatively nothing to lose.. yet everything to lose as its Carmen v Errigal. Injuries and suspensions may hamper our preparations. Haven't heard much from the Errigal camp so presuming they are at full strength

I guess Sean's book didn't go down well in Tyrone.. Head boxed off him by the looks of things on Twitter 😬

Two knees going by reports. Broken nose, concussed and suspected broken jaw. 20 yellow cards, 6 reds and a black in game. After Friday's incident not a good weekend for Tyrone football's image.
cheer up lads, we still have errigal v carrickmore and  Dromore v coalisland to come........

:-\
Carmen and errigal have never had many run ins down the years. Dont know what you're basing this on.................

Conor McKenna would be a mad addition. Could be a bigger distraction more than anything but Frigg it we are 11/2 outsiders. Stick him at 14.
Haha wishful thinking, im not sure his australian club would be best pleased about it though. But what a target man it would be to throw in! In seriousness will Richy start at 14?

With regards set pieces next weekend, who do Tyrone appoint there 'free' taker. In my opinion this could be the difference between winning and losing. Mcaliskey has been hot and cold all year, Morgan is capable, but one or 2 early misses and his head drops (especially if the hill have anything to do with it). Brennan would be my choice if he starts but this is looking evermore unlikely given his performance v Monaghan.  We know that if dublin get a free anywhere from the 45 and in, Dean Rock can slot them over with his eyes closed.

I have heard unconfirmed reports of an incident in the Loughmacrory Killyclogher game which invovled a player being seriously injured. The alleged perpetrator has been in trouble this season already with a similar incident if im right. If true surely something has to be done about this.. player welfare needs to be treated seriously!!

We played Trillick last week and Killyclogher last night.
Just out of curiosity how did you fair out against these teams? That's the kind of games Loughmacrory will be hoping to play next season albeit the 2 named clubs where missing county men.  We played Truagh ourselves at the weekend as far as I am aware.

Given the scenario where Tyrone where to make an All ireland final, would this most likely leave club championship starting 2nd week in Sept? still a few league games to play also so it may leave the season running into the end of October again for a few clubs

Donaghmore wining against the island, not many called that. They are in 5th now. Clonoe look to be gathering form at the right time too. Errigal the best team I've seen play yet but Carmen won't be easy for them in championship

Donaghmore looked solid and deserved to beat Coalisland who themselves were missing a lot of key men so I wouldn't read into the result too much. Clone have turned a corner since their management shuffle/change. I'd agree Errigal and Trilick are the 2 best I've seen this year. I don't give carrickmore a chance in the championship, Errigal should win with a bit to spare.
Of course we will be going in as underdogs, but momentum is building at the right time in the season for our men. Can never jump to conclusions when it comes to an Carmen Errigal derby.....

I would agree that our facilities (Carmen) are one he best in the county with regard to playing surface, parking and capacity. However changing rooms are in dire need of upgrade as they are too small for modern day football, this is something which the club have highlighted and to my knowledge could happen over the next year or 2. Any player from outside clubs say for atmosphere and buzz it is one of the best places to play championship football as the stands are close to the pitch and things can get heated!

Carmens early season 'crisis' seems to have been averted with 3 wins on the bounce. With respect to the teams it was 3 games we should be winning anyway! Very little between the middle pack in d1 with us clonoe and Killylogher on 10 points and we still have a game in hand.

Slightly off topic - but what ever happened the young fella from Carrickmore that got hit by the bouncer in Belfast a few months back.

Did he get back to playing football?
Yeah he did thankfully with no long term injuries. He's the current captain of our minor team and has featured in a few senior games this year. Certainly one to watch out for

Carlow   V   Tyrone
Cavan   V   Down
Sligo           V   Armagh
Waterford   V   Monaghan
Tipperary   V   Mayo
Kildare   V   Longford
Offaly   V   Clare

Whats the verdict on the draw.  Based on saturday nothing can be taken for granted but it could have been a lot worse.  Fixtures to be played weekend of June 23/24.

Just out of curiosity is there any confirmation on the fixture schedule ahead? A game next Sunday then a break? Or is it dependent on Tyrone

Does Tyrone stick with  Richy Donelly at 14 in R2 and further should Tyrone progress? Personally I think not. He may be the one sacrificed should Brennan and Bradley return from injury
