Man's hand 'severed with sword' 
 
Irish police are investigating an incident in Dublin in which a man's hand was severed.
The incident happened after a row broke out in the Deputy Mayor pub in Meakstown, Finglas, on Sunday evening.

It is believed a sword was used in the attack. The victim, a 27-year-old man, has undergone surgery at Saint James's Hospital in the city.

A man was arrested shortly after the incident and is being questioned by police.

Not suprised, swords seem to be the in thing theses days.
Wasnt there a guy in Dundalk a few weeks back tried to attack firemen with one and they knocked him down with the hose.

Just a simple communications break down . He asked the guy for a hand and well here we are
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.
