Don't think Klopp would be starting Origi if Mane was fit
I think Liverpool has been unlucky with injuries to so many key players

Chelsea with no European football helped them greatly. Tottenham the 2nd best in league doesn't say much for the overall quality of the so called best league in world

Does anybody still call it that? Anytime I've seen those words in a sentence, relating to the EPL, they are always preceded by 'The So called', just as you have done...
Fair point. Apart from the lads in the SKY sports studio that get paid to say it or Syferus I can't imagine many call it that anymore.
So which league then in your opinion is the best in the world and why ,and what makes it better than the EPL?

The Primera Division of Chile has only 7 points separating 1st from 10th. Maybe that league is a contender?
http://www.sportstats.com/soccer/chile/primera-division/

La Liga is the best i have watched the best in the world i don't know as i haven't watch all of the leagues. The La Liga has some the best players in the world and even the technical ability on the ball of some of their lesser known players is on a different level to most players in England.

The Premier league this season promised so much before a ball was kicked. It was hoped with some the best managers in the world in Conte,Guardiola,Mourinho,Klopp that the league would improve from past seasons however apart from Conte who had the luxury of no European football they were unable to get the best out of their sides or produce a good season for the spectators watching.

The French,German,Italian leagues are nothing great either though all are arguably better than the Premier league right now.

Puckoon

Had Sturridge had a full half you might have won the game. Apart from him it was very pedestrian stuff. Pure shite infact.

"Before Sunday's game against Southampton, current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and ex-boss Brendan Rodgers had identical Premier League records after their first 65 games in charge of the Reds: W33 D18 L14 (117 points).

We know Klopp drew his 66th game against Southampton.

How did Brendan do?

He won his."

Genius manager though apparently.

Given the poor standards of the teams around them Liverpool will fall across the line into 4th

The current owner, John Henry, decided to buy the club because it satisfied the criteria of an investment model that he had learned from Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger of Berkshire Hathaway.
That is to say, he recognised that Liverpool FC was (a) famous (b) cheap and (c) had a lot of obvious room for improvement. "If we could acquire this for the debt, I really feel like we would be stealing this franchise," Henry wrote in an email to his co-investors.

No UK investor both understood the economic potential of the club and had the finance to invest. Henry and his group have seen Liverpool's valuation increase by nearly a billion dollars since they bought it for $500 million in 2010.

Liverpool deserve some credit for their improvement as they are 12 points better off now after 36 games than this time last year.  With Man United putting all of their eggs in the one Europa league basket the only danger left to Liverpool falling out of the top 4 now is Arsenal.

Southampton,Stoke away and Sunderland,Everton at home if Arsenal win all 4 games they will end up with 75 points. Liverpool are currently on 70 points and will have to win both remaining games to keep Arsenal at bay.

To be realistic Arsenal will likely slip up in at least one of their remaining 4 games meaning Liverpool will only need to win one more match or two draws.

The problem with finishing 4th instead of 3rd is a play off round to get into the champions league and Roma,Villarreal and Ajax were all knocked out at the play off stage this season.

If Arsenal are to drop points it will be in one of their next two games( hopefully in both!) they will beat Sunderland handy and I can't see Everton wanting to do Liverpool a favour so they will beat them also. Hopefully Southampton put in the same workrate against them like they did against Liverpool.
Stoke away isn't easy for them either.

I still wouldn't rule out Man United either. The United fans can say they aren't all they want but they are very much still in the top 4 race imo. It may be better off from a Liverpool perspective if United did get to the Europa League final as this would take priority for them. If they are knocked out they could still make 4th imo.
I think Arsenal will find a way to do it though. It wouldn't surprise me to see them win all their remaining games and I don't think Liverpool will win both of theirs.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Lol, Is this serious? Klopp was so poor he took Liverpool to 8th last season and you think he deserves credit for improving on an utterly abysmal season? They could have played without any manager and finished higher than 8th.

J70

I wouldn't rule out United yet either.

Plus, West Ham just beat Spurs, a much better team than Liverpool. While Middlesborough are now down and won't have a care in the world when they come to Anfield beyond sitting back and trying to hit Liverpool on the break. Look how a supposed easy game worked out for Hull at the weekend.

I think Liverpool will need more favours from the rest yet.

The Utd manager has ruled them out by resting the players for Arsenal game and effectively throwing it to save players but you wouldnt rule them out. Right so  ::)

Arsenal will drop points somewhere along the line so in reality Klopp needs 3 points from last 2 games against connon fodder. Would have taken that at beginning of season for sure

I'm 100% certain this will come back to bite me in the ass but I thought it was a great tweet.

At the start of United's magnificent unbeaten run they were 6pts behind Liverpool. 26 matches and a Liverpool collapse later, gap closed to 5
