GAA Discussion / Should Tyrone speak to RTE
August 20, 2018, 11:17:14 AM
RTE continue to offer the olive branch although they never actually apologised after 2011. Is Mickey Harte right to continue to snub the national broadcaster given his deep faith and commitment to forgiveness? Are the Tyrone Board and players/staff correct to follow suit? Are Cavanagh, Jordan etc who do work for RTE in some capacity disloyal to the Tyrone manager?

General discussion / Wasps
August 01, 2014, 06:05:16 PM
Is it just me or are wasps everywhere at the moment? We would usually have a few in and around the house and garden in mid to late August and into early September but never as many as I've seen around today. Kids were in and out the back doors all day and I'm sure I swatted out/killed about 20 wasps.

All the neighbours have been on about it as well so I'm assuming there are a fair few nests around.

Anyone else notice many or is this a local phenomenon?

Thoughts, comments, rants!

Cynical Behaviour Fouls
1. Deliberately pull down an opponent.
2. Deliberately trip an opponent with the hand(s), arm, leg or foot.
3. Deliberately body collide with an opponent after he has played the ball away or for the purpose of taking him out of a movement of play.

There is a very fine line at times between Deliberate and Accidental - the referee's job is going to become even more difficult - this will undoubtedly lead to  -

4. Threaten or to use abusive or provocative language or gestures to an opponent or a teammate.
5. Remonstrate in an aggressive manner with a Match Official.

Can a Black Card be shown twice to a player in one incident? or will a red card be issued?

Plenty of work for the CCCC particularly as yellows and blacks can now culminate in a suspension. There's going to be plenty of controversy this season.

GAA Discussion / Best Ever Line in GAA Commentary
September 08, 2013, 05:16:57 PM
Heard the immortal lines 'Unlike Pythagoras, he hasn't got the angle quite right on this one!' as Colin Ryan put a free wide today. Not a bad line in the midst of a pretty frantic second half! Any other classic lines you can think of?

GAA Discussion / Best GAA on Twitter?
August 13, 2013, 03:56:05 PM
As a Newbie to both the GAA board and to Twitter I was hoping that fellow members could point me in the right direction for the very best GAA related tweets to follow - or anything else of a comic or Irish nature. Thanks in anticipation!
