Federer has to be up there.

Darts is an more of an entertaining pastime than a sport in the real sense btw.  Yes there's a bit of mental pressure but canot be compared to physical exertion sports otherwise.

Speaking of which, Gary Kasparov has to be worth a mention

Has to be AP McCoy by a mile. 4000+ winners and 19 times champion jockey. Add into that the injuries and punishment he's taken plus his constant battle to maintain his weight and to dominate his sport for over 20 years in an unbelievable achievement in anyone's book.

At least part of his success has to be down to getting the pick of good horses.

Growing up it was Davis 81-89, Hendry 90-99, Navratilova 82-87, Graf 88-96, Sampras 93-00, Schumacher 94-04.

Looking at Tyson's record, it seemed at the time he was champion for far longer than he actually was.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

CiKe

Ricardo Lopez, straw weight boxer. 51 wins, 1 draw, no defeats. And the draw was technical decision and he won the rematch. About 25 world title defences.

That's because he fought so frequently!

He's had his fair share of duds especially in his early career but he has brought winners over the line that no one else could.

Same could be said for racing drivers having the best car, people finding themselves in a great team of other players, golfers with the best clubs, tennis players with the best racket and sure while we are at it dart players with the best darts and snooker players with the best cues.

Joe Louis was undefeated for 11yrs and one of the very best. Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest fighter who ever lived over a 20yr period lost 1 fight (we all know who to) in 141 fights at welterweight, he only moved up cause no-one would fight him. He also holds a record that ever be broke, winning the middle weight title 5 times, this back in the era were fights happened on  a regular basis
