Ardboe have yet to receive a request from Donaghmore in writing asking for the game to be moved.

What's wrong with the phone call ?

Ardboe and county board are coming out of this badly. Sad to see.

Very poor from Donaghmore not to field especially when they were only down 2 starters and not 5 as their Facebook post suggested.
Last year Ardboe came home from the FĂ©ile on a Sunday evening then travelled to play Donaghmore in the championship on the Tuesday minus 4 starters, including their captain. These things happen and teams would love to be at full strength for all games but it doesn't work out that way.
Donaghmore had the numbers to field the other night and decided not to.Incredible that they're kicking up about this when they were quite happy to refuse Ardboe's request two weeks ago.

What isn't true?
Donaghmore players have been in contact with Ardboe players on social media. They seem to be very annoyed at their own management for forfeiting the game. They also said they had players in Donegal at the Gaeltacht who were able to come home for the game. That would have left them with 2 starters missing.I await your response...

No worse than donaghmore when they wouldn't change the league final a few weeks ago.

So Did  Ardboe not ask for games off and renege at last minute? Donaghmore know when they were shafted so no bullshit from you on that.  Shameful episode but we move on. Here's to next year.

Jeremiah O

Donaghmore have only their under 14 management and committee to blame for this.
Playing the victim when in fact it's their own doing.
They pulled a fast one regarding the league final but it has came back to bite them in a bad way.

You boys have been badly caught out on this one.Better luck next time you try to pull off a stunt like that.

We played Beragh in the U-14 Grade 3 league final at the end of June. We only have a panel of 16 (Beragh had 25 players togged out) and we were missing 2 starting players that evening who were away on holidays. That left us with 1 sub who was a P7. Beragh had hammered everyone in their path to the final (they probably should have been in Grade 2) so the easy option would have been to not field. Anyway we turned up and put in a terrific performance and were only 3 points down going into injury time and we actually had goal chances to go in front but Beragh responded with a couple of last gasp goals to leave the scoreline very flattering.
The following week Beragh beat Edendork in the championship final by nearly 40 points. We worked with what we had that evening and gave Beragh their best game of the season.

Understatement that they should be grade 2

redzone

Are the grading not decided by how a team does at u13 level. Used to be the case.
