I find all 4 or whatever it is called now is unwatchable too. I used to love it but it seems to play all the adds perfectly and then buffers non-stop for the programs. Netflix, prime, Disney, iPlayer all work fine so not an internet issue

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on May 12, 2024, 06:40:40 PMArmagh fold again on Penalties, Why was Rian O'Neil taken off. Awful way to lose a game. Some Armagh supporters argue that's that a draw! 4 point up with 20 mins to go, Armagh went bck into their shell instead pushing on.
This time Armagh did not fold, good save to win it. Rian couldn't walk at full time, physio was working on him he had run out of gas. Why Oisin doesn't start or come in earlier is a mystery. But Donaghy telling Jarly Og to recycle a mark that was scoreable  points to a mindset that leads to losing games. Twice at least they had the game won and then stopped doing what was working for them. Players running into dead ends and not taking opportunities points to that  same mindset. Something needs to change, if not McGeeney then the back room. They need a change of direction. Some incredible scores yesterday from both teams, fair play Donegal they found a a way.
To be fair they have brought Gilligan into the backroom team this year who is very highly thought of.

What's Donaghys role if Gilligan is charged with the attack?

I use a broker called Autoeurope. Never take the extra insurance. Probably have used them about 10 times now and never had a problem.

I usually take it, if this price not too bad, as means you can rock up at airport hand the keys in and fcuk off. Its worth the 150 euro now just to avoid queueing.

Down brought in a Division 4 split last year and it works brilliantly. 12 teams in the division. Everyone plays each other once. Then the top 6 play each in 4A and bottom 6 play each other in 4B. Points carry over in 4A with top two promoted. No points carryover in 4B with the top 2 in it playing for the 4B title.

One step removed from Neville's 'best in class' trope

So to address that they've acquired a 71yo billionaire minority shareholder supporter and Jason Wilcox

The football world is trembling at the prospect!

And if all else fails blame the Glazers, who to date have 5 PL titles and a European Cup under their tenure

I don't know any other industry where you would have people making decisions on acquisitions who aren't experts in that given field. So sneer at the football people comment all you want, its a basic short hand for people making decisions about which they have experience and expertise in. But I'm guessing you know that already.

It isn't about one man either, it is about getting a structure in place that can make strategic footballing decisions that are not manager dependent, to prevent the club ending up in the position they currently are with a mish mash of players from 5 different managers.

In a proper structure which INEOS are attempting to put in place, this wouldn't be allowed to happen.

You should of applied for the job by the sounds of it, they've just appointed a 71yo supporter after all, or would you be the technical expert, been tough up against Wilcox, apparently a dressing room jester in his time with not an ounce of sense, hope the due diligence is done on the latest raft of bluffers let through the door

Look on the bright side, a year or 2 at Wembley while the stadium is being redeveloped will make it easier for supporters to get to games

From Ireland? Cheaper to fly to Liverpool and head up

United should have looked to appoint Richard Hughes, a very average footballer in his day, to the job. Or maybe their playing days have nothing to do with their ability to do the job they were hired to do. . .

These are Group games so a Rhubarbs/Jackeens game won't cross 20,000.
Hyde Park to obvious location.........so it will be in Breffni.

Quote from: JonnyD_ on Today at 10:57:24 AMi keep coming back to the players - the current crop! we definitely have something with the players. getting them all out with a full pre-season behind them and injury free and can beat the best.

It's serious commitment, 3 nights a week, your own S&C on your days off, game at the weekend or away for the weekend, no breaks in the year, still doing your bit with club when you can and its not as good as it sounds.

I'm not surprised that there are drop outs, or breaks in training and no surprises that they have injuries, some toll on the body, but we lack quality depth which when you look at some of the games lately the lads coming on to some county teams as subs have some impact.

Whether we can beat the best is debatable, certainly in one off league games or Championship games at Corrigan we can be competitive but being consistent needs crops of players coming through every year, otherwise, which has been happening for a few years, we burn out that squad, they all retire around the same time and we play the Christy Ring for a year or two!
