Draft plan not released yet.
Sunday April 1st for the Allianz Football League final, and Sunday April 15th for the Allianz Hurling League final. This will mean an earlier start to the football league, the intention being to free up April completely for club fixtures, with the exception of the hurling league final.

Educated guess would so the only difference from the 2017 NFL is there will be no 2 week gap between round 2 and 3.

Round 2 Feb 10th/11th
Round 3 Feb 17th/18th
Round 4 Feb 24th/25th
Round 5 March 3rd/4th
Round 6 March 10th/11th
round 7 March 24th/25th

4 football Finals March 31st/April 1st

Already there's some uncertainty surrounding the date of the All-Ireland football final; in the draft fixture calendar, it's pencilled in for Sunday August 26th – after congress earlier this year agreed both the hurling and football finals would be played in August on a three-year trial basis.

However, given the visit of Pope Francis to Ireland next August, the 2018 football final is likely to be put back to Sunday September 2nd. Part of the problem here is that the Pope doesn't usually confirm his schedule until six months in advance, but he is expected to attend at least two of the events surrounding the World Meeting of Families, due to be held here between August 21-26th, including a Mass in Croke Park on that Sunday, August 26th.

Hardly irrelevant if it keeps a  generation of teachers and other professionals interested in GAA and they pass it on .
this sector should be fully supported and funded if needs be.
the GAA need to be about much more than inter county

I would also add that Sigerson and Trench cup is probably the most enjoyable of all competitions to play in and watch as it hasn't been fully poisoned by the defensive chalice — yet

I used to be indecisive but now I'm not too sure.

I doubt it' been finalised, at least not publicly, with the new structure coming in. However, the initial proposal had the 2016 equivalent final on 28th August so I'd guess that 26th August wouldn't be far off.

The pre season tournaments are going to take up the January weekends. I forgot about the College competitions a weekend in February will be left free for that. So perhaps the NFL schedule will be like this.

Round 1 Feb 3rd/4th
Round 2 Feb 10th/11th
Round 3 Feb 24th/25th
Round 4 March 3rd/4th
Round 5 March 10th/11th
Round 6 March 18th (17th left free for the AI club finals)
round 7 March 24th/25th

If other pre season competitions are finished on January 21st then the NFL will likely start on the last weekend in January.

No colleges now I see. You'd almost miss Sligo playing GMIT year in year out. ::)

Will that first game v Galway be in Tourlestrane? It's only there or Scarden that has any floodlights in the county.

Thank God for that.
I expect the Final to be played in the NFL gap week in February.
Will there be any club games in March or will they have to go ahead without County players?
