The Bearded One

I am 100% Club, 0% County. I think a lot of people in here would much rather win a Club Championship than Tyrone win Ulster!!!!! Does anybody here see GAA going the same way as Rugby?? Elite players are contracted to Tyrone (AKA Ulster Rugby) and the Club games go ahead regardless of these missing players???

No, can never see this happening. Rugby is all about money, the inter-pro players are employees. Their club affiliation doesn't mirror the GAA.

Our clubs are in our blood, we don't pick them (in most cases!). County players won't give that up.
It is what it is. Presumably.

Despicable behaviour once again from Jason Quinn today. Red carded and when Eskra number 14 went to shake his hand he struck a few more times. How this man is still near a GAA field is a mystery, you would imagine most other clubs would have roaded him by now.

2 Reds 2 Weeks in a row!!!!! Surely a lengthy Ban is Needed

Archie Mitchell

How was he allowed to play if got a straight red card last week?

Suspended from that competition. IE will miss first round of champ next year
Tough times don't last, tough people do!

Club Rossa

Ardboe beat Errigal 2-8 to 1-10.
Can anyone post the results from the other Division 1 games today?

Not only the red cards but his behaviour after getting sent off as well. By all accounts he was at the same craic last week after getting the line

Obviously striking or half attempting to strike a respected club man(Paul  McGurk) last week merited no action from the Cookstown management and club but to put him back on the starting team for the following week. ???

Your right. You can accept that Quinn is a bad egg and will continually let himself down. But surely the blame here now lies with the manager mckeever for tolerating it!!!

I've heard a rumour that the only reason he does so is to keep mugsy happy as the two are besties!!

With a bit of luck Cookstown will be a problem for div2 next season..

Fast becoming disillusioned with football thanks to the clowns who are 'refereeing' it. How any man refereeing doesn't have the common sense to bring his own umpires with him to help him out and cut down all the off the ball crap that goes on in is completely beyond me - in my opinion it should be absolutely compulsary.

Worse still is the spineless ones who are reffing and make sure the 'home' team win just to make sure they get home safe.  Frig the rules, frig fair play and turn a blind eye to everything trampish that they do.

Wonder if Shane Dorrity has been able to remove Mugsys hand from his backside cos Mulligan worked him like a puppet from start to finish and reffed it himself. Never mind getting away with a clear as day strike which was seen and ignored by the man he went off the field patting on the back for a job well done.

And before anyone says about him sending Quinn getting off, he could do nothing but after what he'd just done.

Is it too much to ask for them to do their jobs fairly and properly? Surely going down the root of it being compulsory to have umpires would help, at least a bit? Opinions?

Gaffer

I would imagine it woud be difficult enough to get 4 men to commit to going to games with you each weekend.
"Well ! Well ! Well !  If it ain't the Smoker !!!"

What did spitter do this week? He'll need a set of wing mirrors soon.
