Robert Fisk.
RIP
Fabulous journalist

Indeed, not afraid to provide a different perspective to the media moguls who run the industry.

Died in Dublin from a stroke it seems

Fisk was a great journalist on the whole but I thought he lost the plot a bit on Syria

The Great War For Civilisation is well worth reading though

I'd love to hear again the bit from Eamon Dunphy's Last Word on the evening of 9/11 where he made Alan Dershowitz have a complete meltdown just by telling a few simple home truths

Dershowitz displayed the sort of arrogance, megalomania and extreme intolerance for truth that have become the defining characteristics of the American far right and the international far right

It was Trumpism before Trumpism arrived

Brian Coll absolute gentleman so sad.

Adrian Cahill former birr hurler. I think he was an Offaly panellist at least too. Played min 90s so can't be much more than the 50 mark.

Damn, we watch Jeopardy every evening. Though you should have made your post in the form of a question.

Yorkshire Ripper

Peter Sutcliffe

RIP

He'll still be kept alive in Gavin and Stacey though. Which I thought was very tasteless to be honest. Same with the other names in it.
