I am only scanning this thread here but how many players have been confirmed to have the virus?
In other counties there were individual cases, but there was testing going on all the time that picked up asymptomatic lads who sat it out for a week or so.

I am not wummin' here, but are the counties still not testing all the time in case?

Players can get sick, people die etc.  But the difference here is that for all we know the players in question are feeling 100% and want to play, but they will not be allowed to.  That is a world away from being injured or having to go to a funeral.  This is not a standard situation and in cases like this or the example I mentioned, a team shouldn't be punished if a public health body does not permit a willing player(s) to play.  I would have the same view irrelevant of the county involved and I had the same view when Fermanagh were impacted in the league.

Based on the statements made by the GAA and by Tyrone CB, I don't think what you are saying is completely correct

Tyrone would not be able to filed a team this week, but they fully expect to be able to field a team next week. The reason they want an extra week on top of that is to be "properly prepared and be in a position to do itself justice". So the team isn't being  punished because a public health body does not permit a willing player(s) to play.

As I said, not sure of the specifics i.e. how many players have been confirmed as positive, what condition are they in etc.

20 players have been confirmed to have tested positive. It was on cool fm news on Mon.

Yep, definitely a pub job now for myself, didnt get tickets through the club. Dublin v Mayo in the semi is always nearly a sell out, 9k each to clubs, no chance.

If Dublin don't win Sam, I'd love to see Mayo do it. But my jaysis, their fans are some crowd of whingers (unlike the team)

I get the impression that other than Dublin's direct opponents in a semi/final, everyone else is no longer bothered, annoyed or surprised at Dublin's success. The vast investment, home advantage, and everything else, well it's helped ruin the championship. It's like being annoyed at Amazon or Google for not paying any tax. They're not the problem. And Dublin themselves aren't the problem.

Each Dublin AI success means less and less as the years goes on. I've no doubt they'll do 7 in a row. Probably even 11, 12, or 13 in a row (maybe with one loss), but by that time nobody will care. The inter county championship will be long dead.

I remember i felt the same when Kilkenny won 4 in row. I was sick of them and hated them, its only years later, looking back, i appreciated what they achieved and how good they were..

Parkinson had plenty to say on it. Doesn't seem to have much love for Cluxton.

It was no bother to Scruff taking the dollar to play for  Parnells, Scruff has a chip with everyone. Cluxton didn't like that all the mercs were joining the senior team, he probably did not like scruff and all the other blow ins.

Oh the irony of Cluxton not liking the mercs in his club.

5th Time in 9 years its Dublin, Mayo , Kerry and Tyrone in the semis. Every second year since 2013. @fotoole13 in twitter.
