Watched a good bit of the minor and senior semi finals and the vast difference in refereeing attitudes is the major explanation for the relative health of the games. And don't pretend "good hurling folk" are in any way better than their football counterparts. Ye are just lucky that the wankers in Croke Park don't have a professional agenda and are seeking to sanitise your code. If they did the games yesterday would have ended 11 v 11. Things that are a yellow card in football are often not a free in hurling. When the rules are applied and a "good hurling lad" gets suspended everyone goes berserk. Two lads in the minor game pulled the helmets off each other and barely got a talking to.

Uttter rubbish. Clare won in 2013 with a team of small skillful players. KK were no giants either and Cork may win this year with a surplus of small skillful players. Hurling is not Footballs problem.

There is an element of truth to that. No-one calls charging in hurling anymore.
