Ramor United are the 1st GAA club I've heard of that has United as part of their name, are there any others? Plenty of Rangers around the country, and I thing the odd Rovers.

Laois are in a bad way with Portlaoise's dominance, cannot be healthy. Kildare are not too far behind with the Newbridge teams but at least they are pushing standards up with their competition.

There is a Laragh United in Cavan also.

A Celtic as well?

Clogherhead Dreadnoughts best name of all time.

No way. The Fighting Cocks in Carlow have the best name title wrapped up in perpetuity.

What about Longford slashers

I have to say that Niall Sludden was fantastic yesterday, always looked like creating something, just unfortunate that no one (outside of Matty Donnelly and Petey Harte) were at his level.

Our system will get us so far but having one man up front requires a special player to pull it off. Pains me to say it but Ronan O'Neill's performance has answered a lot of questions. It appears that the cruciate injury he got has taken the edge of his pace and against the top defenders he's ineffective. His long range shooting and distance free taking on the big stage just isn't there. Don't like to come down on individuals but McAliskey and McCurry don't appear to be the answer either. That extra 5% that separates good Full forwards from great ones hasn't been available to us when the big game moments come. Our hopes next year lie with Lee Brennan, a lot of responsibility to shoulder for such a young lad. What other options do we have?

Although oneill and mccaliskey were poor yesterday you have to empathise with being a full forward in tyrones system. Extremely tiring/demoralising being the only man up with 5 defenders around you and not getting the ball kicked in

Just watched a programme on Sky about Andy Cole...Fcuk he was good. Some of his goals were amazing...yet he never gets mentioned when the United greats are discussed. Discuss ;)

Andy Cole was a great striker but it was his chances to goals ratio that would have hurt him from being regarded as one of the greats.
And to be fair with the amount of chances that team created per game, most strikers would have ended up with a bag full of goals.

Cole was a very good player, his all round play when he first came to United was average but he really did improve his all round game as time went on but unfortunately he was also slowing down. He won a lot of trophies at United and had a great career but when you win as much as United have done the last 25 years he's way down the pecking order. He's a long way off Van Nistelrooy who was comfortably the best no 9 we've had in my time watching United.

+1

Think we should ban cars from our roads. You might crash and die. There are too many deaths each year

ridiculous argument
Well I think it's no more ridiculous than banning motorcycle racing because someone has a crash. I hate motorcycles and have no interest in the North West. But these guys are incredibly passionate about what they do. If they unfortunately lose their life, at least it was doing something they loved

I get your point that they obviously love it and are willing to do it, so you can't really have a ban. But don't think you can compare high speed motorbike racing to driving in a car which is clearly safer
