I first saw George Kennedy in Thunderbolt & Lightfoot alongside Clint Eastwood. A great film with a super performance from Kennedy. I followed his career with interest ever since.

Another good man gone.
For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world & loses his soul.

George Kennedy RIP aged 91, died Sunday evening.

Brilliant actor, best remembered for me in Cool Hand Luke, his line after the famous car wash scene
'Anything so innocent and built like that just gotta be named Lucille'

For some reason I always associated him with the Airplane movie.

I think you're thinking of the Naked Gun movies

Someone on the radio was saying that George Kennedy , famous for the Naked Gun films!! stupid fecker... he was in some seriously good movies during the 70's and 80's before doing the Naked gun films (which weren't a patch on his other stuff)

he was associated with the Airplane disaster films though
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea
