This is the tragedy I referred to on the Sean Quinn thread. Mick won an All-Ireland medal for Mayo in 1985 and Captained an U-21 team I played on. He played for many years for the Mitchels mainly at Intermediate. He was a sound man and his passing was a huge shock.

Brought the Tom Markham Cup into St. Geralds in 1985. Was a big deal then and I'm sure it would be a big deal today.

A sad story, may he RIP.

And another reminder that mental health issues need to be spoken about openly, and not in the hushed tones that are still commonplace.
