He has a broken leg. Not sure he'd be keen to play.

Mooney wouldn't get on the Down team atm never mind an Irish side. He's only back from injury and was only a sub in Downpatrick's last game.

What's the deal with the  Rules series? Has it  been consigned to  the dustbin?

I'd just send 30 x Irelands biggest thugs

I dont know, it wouldnt be fair to send 30 Armagh players and no other county gets involved?

HQ to have discussion again on the possibility of returning Minor All-Ireland finals as curtain raiser slot in Croke Park with the senior final.

The problem with that is the lack of tickets that would be available for the minor teams involved. The last two Minor All-Ireland finals in Armagh, Roscommon had roughly 15k in attendance.

One thing they could have instead as curtain raiser slot on All Ireland senior final day is the Railway cup final. All the top players involved on the same day and not a demand on tickets.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

As I suggested before have an All Ireland weekend...
Minor, u20, Tailteann triple header on Saturday with cheap tickets .
If they need a curtain raiser for the Senior Final why not the Junior Final? 500 tickets would cover that and would give those who want to go in early something to look at.

What about hotel  availability ?  Car parking?  Trains/buses?  Lots of  Saturday  folk will want to stick around for the Sunday , whether they have a ticket  or not.

And that's   4 matches  in  a 24 hour period  before the  AI senior final , with potentially ET in some.  What if the weather is atrocious all  weekend? The pitch will be in a quare state for  the biggest  match of the year

I'm torn on the minor  venue.  On one hand it's great they  have their  own day with  a packed provincial ground , rather than  an empty  Croke Park. Last couple years have  been great  atmospheres for  minor finals.  Although they deserve their big day in Croke Park  too.

Croker holds a good number of triple headers already diesnt it?
We're not talking some bog pitch in the wilds of Tyrone here.
Most people will go there and back home the same day.

Would be similar to this year with little or none in attendance.  Music bands playing in front of empty arena and bringing Galway's 1998 team out last month before the senior final showed how poorly planned it all was.

More romance to it and interest I would have than Int Rules
