This. I may have half started it so I feel partly responsible 🤭

I had other points to raise but I'm fcuked if I'm going there now lol

I've looked at certain sports/sport stars over the years and thought they were boring twats, in snooker ya had Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry, just machines at the time and focused on nothing else, Golf/tennis was the same with the newer generation, but since Netflix has done various inside documentary type shows its really brought about a different perspective on these sports and sportsmen/women, in a more positive light

Not that I think Netflix will go near snooker just yet as the global appeal might not be there.

But loving the banter here though ;D

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Mark Allen will be the World number 1 https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/snooker/world-no1-mark-allen-i-have-achieved-one-of-my-lifetime-goals/a524920986.html

His best performance in the World Championship is reaching the semi-final twice.

I would imagine   smart phones and therefore, shorter attention spans , to blame for the  decline in snooker viewers. Netflix as  well

At a superficial level it is boring to the passing observer. I've tried explaining to the missus and teenage kids the skill involved in accurate cueball control, break building, safety play etc. ZERO interest. Same for darts.

Hands up, I did reluctantly engage, but sometimes someone is just blowing out their hole so much that you can't resist having a say

ONeill

Bring back Griffiths, Thorburn and Reardon. Now that was swashbuckling, edge of your seat snooker. Real characters.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.
