The PSNI are looking for a "rotund male" from Poyntzpass known as Mr T Fearon. Perhaps somebody could post the article from todays Tele.

Gerry and his wife are to sell their "luxury" Co Down house after Armstrong has been tormented by a stalker, who has been inundating him with "lewd" and "aggressive" text messages.

[Harry Callahan has to explain why he shot a man]
Harry Callahan: Well, when an adult male is chasing a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the bastard. That's my policy.
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a naked man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher's knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross!
[walks out of the room]
The Mayor: He's got a point.

A good thing in my view, the Eastwoods bookies are invariably dives and perhaps they could retrain some of their hatchet faced staff.......

Eastwoods bookies in £135m sale

Ladbrokes has bought 54 Eastwood shops
The Eastwoods chain of bookmakers in Northern Ireland has been bought by Ladbrokes in a deal worth £135m.
Ladbrokes has bought 54 Eastwood shops, making it Northern Ireland's largest gambling outlet with 70 shops in total.

Eastwood's was established in the 1950s by BJ and Frances Eastwood and is Northern Ireland's best-known family bookmaker with shops in most towns.

Joe Lewins of Ladbrokes Ireland said there were no plans to reduce the 300 staff employed by Eastwoods.

Mr Lewins, the company's managing director, said: "We are investing and growing in Northern Ireland and this will mean new opportunities for the workforce.

"Leading edge technology will be installed and the full Ladbrokes service will follow. All UK racing will be part of the service."

Ladbrokes already has 16 outlets in the northwest, acquired when it bought Northwest Bookmakers two years ago.

Ladbrokes' purchase also includes the Eastwood telephone betting business headquartered in Belfast.

It is already the largest bookmaker in the Republic of Ireland, where it operates in 201 locations.

The £135m price tag is thought to include goodwill payments and a leaseback of the freehold properties.

BJ Eastwood said: "Ladbrokes is a world-leading name in betting and all our staff can be reassured that they will be investing in the business and offering more opportunities.

"The betting business is a fast-changing one and, having talked to several companies, we believe Ladbrokes were the best company to take the business forward in Northern Ireland."

It doesn't really matter whether you crash at 500 mph or 5,000 mph. The only difference will be the size of the pieces.

I always find those lifejacket demonstrations funny - the idea that you'll survive a crash into the sea. I know I read somewhere (perhaps Muppet can confirm if it's true) that there's no case on record of anyone ever surviving a commercial airliner ditching, with one exception somewhere in the pacific where a plane ditched in shallow water off a beach and some or all of the occupants were rescued by locals in small boats/canoes, whatever.

Hardy i remember seeing footage of an airliner that was hijacked by terrorists running out of fuel and ditching into the sea just off Ethiopia i think, they were close to the beach, some survived but their were fatalities. In fairness this plane was gliding towards the water.

Minder..I was at the game so don't know what Whelan was saying..
From what i saw and what i have seen off McGeady he hasn't done anything to impress me..
I certainly didn't see anything from him tonight only holding onto the ball way to long and running into Brazil players and losing the ball

LL, i never spoke !

Just a thought, does Bobby Charlton benefit in any way financially from the numerous media appearances he has made around this anniversary, this is the man that released two autobiographies simultaneously........

Thye should have it written into their conracts that they are not allowed to play international games........

Saw a good bit of coverage on NFL Access, when Eli was in the locker room after the game Peyton came in to congratulate him and they were talking about the blitzing packages and safety cover the Pats had on that last drive, i think most other players would have been lying with a cigar and a bottle of champagne......

Have to agree with you Pints, the Irish News has went down the pan, its hard to get a paper that does not have some sort of angle. I would read the Times online & have stopped buying papers altogether.

QuoteOn another note, people from omagh have been called Biffos before.

Well that's just piggybacking, we are the BIFFOS.

I was a season ticket holder with the Cardinals. How's that for dedication :D

Although it had it's benefits. At least I got to see the last ever TD pass from Steve Young to Jerry Rice, just before Aneas Williams gave Young his final and decisive concussion. It was a Monday night game at Sun Devil Stadium.

Is that the game where Lawrence Phillips looked like Barry Sanders for the Niners,i think he is in the clink now, that was probably the start of a downward spiral for them they finished 4-12 that year i think.
