That's five years ago.  I reckon that's Jarlath just trying to be cute and take out the cleverest boy in the GPA with an offer of money to come inside the tent and piss out. 

It's interesting there has been a silence from DUBS FOR SAM on this one.  He is usually the main authority on GPA thinking and their chief apologist on the board. 

He is strangely absent onthis one...

Chief apologist - I don't work that one out.....Just because I am prepared to say I agree with a lot of their thinking and go against the majority on the board doesn't make it so....

Everyone moves on over time and he has.....big deal..

Did I read somewhere that McGeeney was still heavily involved, to the extent of helping to organise the press conference to announce the result of the (rigged) ballot?

The GPA, I thought, was for inter-county players only. McGeeney has now retired and is an Inter-county manager. Are all other Inter-county managers entitled to membership of the GPA and sit on the executive?
