On a night of gale force wind and driving rain Colm Boyle has just driven his club to a much needed victory in the Mayo Senior League. Six days on from the All Ireland it says much for the mettle of the guy.

Ah c'mon. I've seen minors lose in the championship and play county U16 the next day - it's not a matter of mettle, just moving on with your life.

First two rounds of the three game league of the championship played already. Next weekend for the final round AFAIK

Then qf, SF and final. Hard to look past Mitchells, tubber, breaffy and knockmore for the last four.
