Monaghan were stink.
You insult Carlow's mighty efforts to keep the game close until the last 1/4.

Hard luck to Carlow died with their boots on and to think the grey hair men in suits at congress will likely deprive counties like Carlow having championship games like this against Div one opposition in the years ahead.
Is there a Motion before Congress?
Does every one at Congress wear a suit?
Just remember Carlow bet 3 Div 4 teams to get there. Probably never happen again that they'll get such fortunate draws.
They need to get themselves out of Div 4 now if they want to develop further.
Dare I suggest that Monaghan are gone well past their sell by date?

Qualifiers Round 4
In the fourth round of the qualifiers, the four winning teams from round 3 play the four beaten provincial finalists. Round 4 draw rules do not allow two teams that have played each other in a provincial match to meet again if such a pairing can be avoided. The matches are normally held in neutral venues.

Armagh
Monaghan
Down/Tyrone
Kildare/Dublin

Does this rule mean that should Down lose on Sunday that they cannot play Armagh or Monaghan?

Monaghan won! The games after this will show where they are at. These games are all about winning, not getting injured or suspended! Hold the Jury yet!

That's the key bit there, it can't be avoided so if Down are in Round 4 they'll have to play one of them.

Eventually that motion will be brought in and past just the like U21 football championship was eventually scrapped even though the majority of players, supporters wanted to keep it.

Most wear suits and have grey hair in congress and all will eventually nod their heads to what Paraic Duffy wants.

Doesn't matter who Carlow played in between. They played two Div one teams this summer and gave a good account of themselves in both games.

Time will tell about Monaghan, right now they remain established Div one team and are on course for another All Ireland quarter final.

Always seems to be some sort of unpleasant incident, red card or ugly scuffle in every Monaghan game. Probably the scummiest team of players in Ireland right now.

Rossfan

Any evidence that a majority of players and supporters wanted U21 kept?
I've not seen any  anyway.

Poor oul Paraic Duffy's seems to have taken over from the GPA as the bete noir of GAA Boarders.

Eyes and ears is normally enough evidence. Nothing poor about him just a bit of a smug dictator.

Indeed. Monaghan players seemed disgusted with the fact Carlow refused to lie down and give them an easy victory. This Monaghan team is a bit like the dubs under Pillar Caffrey. Look good when given time and space but crumble when put under pressure.

So after round 3 there are 7 division 1 teams, 4 division 2 teams and 1 division 3 team left.

Nonsense. If you don't know what you're talking about perhaps you shouldn't highlight it.

And Armagh should really be a division 2 team .
