Thanks, will give them a listen.

Some amount of GAA podcasts about these days, off the top of my head:

RTE Sport
Irish Examiner
Irish Independent
Punditarena
Sportsjoe
Newstalk
Second Captains (from time to time)

In fairness the lads have a distinction in it is Ulster which tends to nit get an airing on a lot of the others.
Also the others have to be very generalistic while Joe goes for big clicks and personality driven content. GAAhour is very goid mind.
RTE tends to ve very watered down with recently retired lads and a wirry about upsetting people.

Latest one up - good interviews with Brian McGuigan and Cassidy. Both favouring their own county this weekend, naturally, but for opposingly similar reasons.

I'd be a regular listener as would know the guys well presenting it- it is nice to get the Ulster focus as too much going on at this time of year and lots of them cover all the games without covering anything at all. Would highly recommend you share it with friends etc as it can be hard to independent podcast to make inroads against the bigger operations, even though you can find some really good ones!

I posted my own podcast a few months back - some of you might enjoy it but it won't be for everyone as very little game specific stuff. . Just an hour long chat with individual players about life on and off the field. Of the Ulster lads Eamon McGee and Jamie Clarke have been on, along with the likes of Kevin McManamon, Brendan Maher, Niall McNamme, Noel Connors, Cora Staunton and Michael Quinn.

Check it out here if you are interested. Will be launching a second series next month.

God stuff Alan. Maybe have been critical in the past but takes balls to do podcasts and put them up.

Interesting to see how podcasters could cope on live TV.

Will give this and real talk a listen today. Been really enjoying Wooly Parkinson's podcast recently. Tend to prefer the post weekend analysis with Clan Ward over Stevie McDonnell' s pre weekend analysis.

Cheers for the heads up on this. You can't have too many good GAA podcasts on your phone for walking the dog. My favourites at the minute are the GAA hour and The Pff The Ball podcast from the show. I try to listen to the Second Captains but I find them all the most unlikable bunch of edjits in the country. I tried out the Indo one this week but yer man from Rory's Stories trying to shout over everyone made it hard to listen to.

Yeah that's the GAA hour one I mentioned. IMO it's by a distance the best one out there. Great guests and the pundits actually like football which is a pleasant change. I really enjoy the Derry lad Conan.

Good preview of the Ulster final as well as an interview with McGinley. And some Down lad.

McGinley's story about the concussion during the Down game in '08 was fairly startling (about 27 mins). Even yet he can't remember a good chunk of that day.

Amazing how many of these players play on in automatic pilot and only a sharp eye knows they're out of it.

McGinley is a great lad and is an asset to any broadcast. In fact that Tyrone team in general has a lot if v good lads who dont get enough gigs.
McGinley would be a great man for Sunday Game or Sky.
