If they can't spell our name, they can't find out where we are...

If they can't find out where we are, we have the advantage of surprise...  ;D

The Insider

Near the Killoe pitch on Sunday evening was a sign about the Killoe clubs drive for 4 championships, the U 14 ,U 16 , Junior and Senior championships sadly for them so far the U 14 ,U 16 and Junior all have been lost as well as an U 12 final on Monday night . Can the losing streak continue ? . Went that way to have a look at the Dollys winning matches signs in Bal . The Connollys can do it , Carrickedmond don't have anyone with the ability of Dessie Reynolds to score . Think it's 0-16 in total from 3 finals now . Don't think anyone could top them for kicking wides . Should Connolys win they have indicated they will remain in intermediate . With St Patricks also dropping down it will leave 11 teams making it awkward to run . 2 x 4 1 x 3 with the 3 group winners plus play off  with runners up in 4 team groups , a group of 5 and 6 with top 2 in semi finals .

They did win the Ladies' Senior title. Are these the slogans painted up on a wall as you head over for Doherty's Cross or is it a newer one? Might get the camera out next time I'm on the road to Longford.

It would be awkward but I'd still expect Carrickedmond to edge them out (but on the basis of last Sunday and the Ardagh experience whoever heads up will be going back down post haste).

Can't sleep Laurel???????

A big shout out for later - will be glued to Shiteside with fingers crossed.

Killoe will have to much savvy for a one dimensional Mullinagachta team 😂

But what about the Mullinalaghta one?  :P

Killoe 2-11 Mullinalaghta 0-10

The better team won, with the wind advantage and two goals in the first half putting it beyond doubt for the second half. We didn't play as well as we could have and had several misses in the second half that might have helped us. At least there were no injuries on either side.

Congratulations to Killoe and best of luck against the Westmeath champions in Leinster.

Hard luck to the half-parish; your time will come.
My hands are stained with thistle milk ...

Hard luck indeed. That's a good Killoe side and it was always going to be tough. Needed everything to work out on the day and that seemed not to have happened.

There is a few years left in the Mullinalaghta side so hopefully in the next year or two they will get back and do one better. Hopefully beating Abbey in the final by 1/8th of a point.

Forgot to mention congrats to the local Wolfe Tone lads for winning another senior hurling championship - beating Clonguish in the final.

I have no idea who they beat, if anyone, to get to the final.

I also see that listed in the subs is Sean McNally. Sean is older than I am so winning a senior medal (albeit a Longford hurling one) at 48 is a fair achievement when most of his compatriots are fat and unfit as fcuk.

Beat Clonguish in a league and drew with Slashers, according to the Longford GAA website.

Yeah Wolfe Tones beat Clonguish and drew with Slashers in the round robin. Clonguish beat Slashers to qualify for the final.

The Insider

Think that would be Sean's 15th county hurling medal , has been part of every successful Wolfe Tones side

Spinx

Congrats to Clonguish on winning the U-16 A championship yesterday and hard luck to Ballymahon/Forgney Gaels. Some turnaround for both clubs as they were the two teams that finished second last and last in the league.
