According to the Irish News, this proposal is to be debated next weekend at Croke Park so it doesn't seem like a done deal just yet.
How can we influence the decision ?

According to Des on RTÉ, the only change in the football is that there will only be semi-finals in Div 1. Otherwise everything remains as expected.

Good that there is not going to be nonsense changes.

Excellent news and commom sense has prevailed. During the week I contacted Croke Park to say I wouldn't renew my season ticket if the changes went ahead.Clearly the potential loss of 75 euro swung it.

Yes. It is especially good that elite teams like Armagh and Down will not have to play lesser teams, the likes of Tyrone and Kildare.

Its amazing that they made the correct choice. As a Mayoman I would be very angry that teams unable to retain their Division 1 status are allowed to interlope with the likes of Mayo who are division 1 for over 15 years. Not sure who else who have been able to retain top table status like the Green over the Red.
