Wexford had a great chance today but being honest they blew it. Credit to Tipperary they showed great heart to win and some of their scores in lat 20 minutes were awesome. They were lucky that Heffernan did not get his marching orders and I wouldn't be surprised if he appears before one of these cccc committees as it doesn't look like the referee dealt with the incident at the time.

Should be a cracking final. Both teams won't fear each other and will be fairly confident after their respective semi-final victories.

Tipp fullback is a brother to Noel/John McGrath and looks fairly promising
Dalton has serious power but he seemed to lack pace on Sunday. In saying that his leg was very heavily strapped so he probably wasn't at full flight

Overall Cork playing better, but their full back line in big trouble and they have had some terrible wides
Limerick look like they will score goals
Should be a good 2nd half

A serious amount of rain in Dublin for last 12 hours and no signs yet of it letting up -will have a big bearing on the game today

How can the GAA justify bringing Wexford & Clare down to Cork on a Saturday @3:00?
Surely Thurles is more apt for this. Even Portlaois would have been better. I doubt if there'll be more than 16000 in Cork for this.

Hey lads, where would be best to park for this game?
Should be up there an hour or 2 before throw in and might get some grub in also

If you are coming from the Dublin side and the Newry road, go left and turn into the car park behind St Malachy's and then walk alongside  the church, then left. There would be more parked around there on a Saturday than the usual Sunday.
Or the City Hotel across the road if you are early, they'd feed you for a fee.

Thanks armaghniac

The final will probably be close to sellout, but I'd be surprised if there weren't a good few floating around down there on the day.

Terrible umpire decision and definitely cost them the match.
But they were still 11 points up with extra man -so they have to take some of the blame.
It's gonna be tough to pick themselves up to go at Limerick next week -but win that and they well and truly back in the mix

Duignan & Regan can be very hard to listen to alright.
Their main line this year on Offaly is that Offaly are on the right track with having a good hurling local man like Kevin Martin over the team, and that the outside managers last few years had done a lot of damage (completely ignoring that they won their recent all-Irelands under outside managers).

Last weeks defeat by Wexford was a complete collapse, especially at home. If they lose to Dublin I don't have much sympathy for them.

The one change I would make to the system though is that last team in Leinster would play last team in Munster and the loser gets relegated.

No doubt Connolly is a super footballer -indeed one of the best in the country. For hurling though, I've seen him at some club games this year and he doesn't stand out as definitely inter-county standard. His fitness levels & strength give him a big advantage alright but I fear he would be badly exposed at inter-county level against the better teams.
In saying that -if he got a full season exclusive to the hurlers he may well be a big addition, but it's a big risk as I feel he has a lot more value to the footballers
