The reason they didn't win is clear. They had the upper hand for 20+ mins of the second half, five points clear and they decide to hold possession instead of going for the kill. I watched another game with the same bulls*hit tactics last night and it amazes mean how teams that are so dominant haven't the balls to go and kill a game. If this passes for good tactics/coaching someone has been employed beyond their pay-grade. It's not the Corofin way that we are used to.

Penalty saved then Castlebar win a free for themselves to make it a 2 point game. Corofin 2-10 Castlebar 1-11
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Huge swing there. Missed penalty would have put 6 between them. Straight up the pitch and free to put only 2 between them.

Was thinking they maybe should have taken the point for the penalty. 4 points is a fair lead in extra-time in those conditions.

10 steps before the penalty but does any ref count anymore.

I'm totally neutral here but he did the same for the first point of extra time as well. Maybe he wants to take the ball home with him!

Despite all that Corofin are well the better team. Hope it's one of those days when the best team doesn't win.

Good old contest in the Connacht club yet again. Amazing how tight these matches often are at the semi-final and final stage. Corofin just had a bit more class up front despite being wasteful at times.

Same as last year Corofin beat Castlebar AET, Congrats to Corofin Connacht champions again.  A trip to London next up for them. FT Corofin 2-13 Castlebar 1-12.

Well deserved win for Corofin. Lack of scoring forwards proved Castlebar's downfall. Pitch is a complete bog. Hope to see Corofin in Croke Park where the pitch size and quality will suit there game. Clann finally overtaken in the roll of honour.

Made hard work of it but Corofin eventually got over the line. Corofin should beat the best of London and Leinster next their biggest challenge will likely come in the AI final.
