Dear oh dear that was never a free for Bridget's to force the draw there with the last kick of the game. I think the ref was just so used to blowing for frees to Bridget's that he blew it out of habit.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Big kick for Senan Kilbride. 35 m into wind for draw......And it's level and extra time. Must be the Green and Red jerseys!!!!

5 mins to play in Tuam Brigids have made a good comeback and would be level but for some poorly taken frees. Corofin 1-12 Brigids 1-10

The referee is doing his best to keep it competitive anyway. Brigids getting some baffling calls.
Corofin didn't win by 8 points as you were predicting anyway. Competitive game and enjoyable game between two of the best sides in Connacht.

Would have thought he was being kind to Corofin. Kieran McGrath lucky to be on the pitch despite being booked and repeated fouling. 1 pt game now with 3 mins inj time

Don't think so, Brigids got a litany of very dubious frees. There was on stage in the game where Corofin were 4 or 5 up and he blew up Brigids for a late free when Corofin were pouring men forward and would have had a great goal chance. I thought it was under the provision he was going to black card the Brigids man for the late hit after the ball was laid off but he only booked him then.

Can see Corofin winning the replay handily, they're a much better team and the referee kept Brigids in it.

Only for the referee. Huge gulf between the teams, I'd imagine the replay will see a big Corofin victory.

Extra time today.

SHEEDY

Number 26 for st brigids will be one relived man, hit 2 really bad wides from scoreable frees at the end of normal time.
nil satis nisi optimum

Harold Disgracey

Only saw the last couple of minutes but the referee gave St Brigid's a few very soft frees, especially the one for the equaliser.

Why didn't he take he 2 frees the no 26 put wide. Poor efforts that weren't even close to going over.

Corofin are just like the Galway footballers. Look good when given time and space but leaderless in the 2nd half when Brigids put the pressure on.

clarshack

was a scandalous decision to award a free to st brigids at the end there.

Syferus

There's just something special about Tuam. It's almost in the air.

Brigids doing what they usually do and fighting back from impossible positions. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

PadraicHenryPearse

Ref was shocking but over the game favored corofin. Last free was soft And really nearly every free it was a guess which way he would give it. He let Molloy away with alate hit but booked Kilbride for something similar. Corofin scoredfrom a clear throw ball and gave a free out when Brigids had cornor back pinned on the end line. Very inconsistent.

mrhardyannual

All genuine frees. Lads wrap forwards up, pulling and hitting from both sides and expect the ref to penalise over-carrying. If he wanted he could bring the ball forward for most frees as Corofin are constantly within 10m of the kicker. He got the calls right and McGrath is lucky to be there still.
